Post Edited (04-02-03 09:01)
Just got my tickets in the mail - I'll be in section 110, row 27 with three others.
Let's Go Red!!!
No tickets, yet! I'm working a lot of angles.
But, do or die, I will be there!
Section 307, row 5, seat 15. This sounds like I'll be banging my head on the roof, so I'll probably be wandering around in search of a seat closer to the action.
322, Row 5
Post Edited (04-04-03 13:40)
Me, with an undetermined number of friends (which means I may have extras, we'll see).
Waiting for tickets, but unless I get totally screwed, should be in the first couple rows of 324, 325... unless I get very lucky and win the CU lottery :-).
Me and three others in section 325, Row 11, Seats 5,6,7,& 8.:-D
Can't edit that post from here. Since I have received an inquiry - the semis tix have already been sold to a pair of Cornell alums.
Mo will be in the house.
I arranged a Cornell pre-game party at Pearl Street Brewery close to HSBC arena. I need your participation to make this a success.
Please check the "Pre Game Party" thread posted by Don Lazzaro ... email me at cakramer2@yahoo.com if you'll be there!
I'm there! Not sure of my exact seats (my friend had 6 tickets at one point, not sure which one I'm actually sitting in) but I think they're either 110 or 113. Will edit later when I find out for sure.
Is there interest in having an ELF gathering sometime? I'd love to meet some of you to put faces with names. :-)
Section 315 Row 5. Seats to be determined when the tickets arrive in the mail.
As will Ogie on Saturday!
Best,
Ogie
Section 324 Row 5. Can't wait!
Section 300, row 5.
I'll be with three other non-Cornellians, one of whom is an SLU(t) grad who'll hopefully be supporting a fellow ECAC school.
JH
111, row 22, 1, 2, 3 or 4, although I'm thinking that if we shoot the other way, I might try to trade just before the game with a UNH fan for equal and opposite seats.
Yes. I haven't really been able to mingle much at the games I have gone to this year.
Section 300, Row 4, Seats 13 and 14!!!!! (as long as they actually arrive in the mail!)
Research has been keeping me from migrating north to catch a game in person this year, but there's no way I could let this one slip by!
How I'm going to function normally until the 10th, I don't know...
- Steve
actually at present i am questionable as my supervisor just informed me that my vacation request might not be approved due to a previously unscheduled customer visit. will find out by the end of the day. please everyone reading this send happy thoughts my way as i can't imagine not being there. if it turns out to be a no i might pull out the crying card ... perhaps the one advantage in working with a lab full of guys. if it a no my boss is up for a fight cause i've already made plans, boutght tix, etc and last minute scheduling shouldn't affect previously requested vacation time. i normally just go with the flow, never causing problems but this would be my one exception. i've been waiting 5 or 6 yrs for this ... yeah not as long as a bunch of you others but long enough. this freakin sucks. sucks. sucks.
I'd delay graduation from med school if they told me I couldn't go.
Fortunately, that's not the case. Sec 112, row 30, seat 20 (+ 2 Cornell friends right next to me).
Hey, one more question...what are people doing for last minute lodging? Obviously all the downtown hotels are booked. Is there some suburban place where a lot of folks are finding rooms? Are people staying by the airport? I really don't know the area so I'm not sure where to book a room.
Also, what's the public transportation like? Seeing as I've already dropped a fair amount of cash on airfare, I'm hoping to avoid renting a car.
Lastly (I promise, last thing!) are there any kind folks who could drive me and my friend to Syracuse on Sunday for our return flight? If we do end up renting a car, I really don't want to pay the change of location fee. I would be happy to supply some nice CA wine as payment..... :-)

There is a metro rail line (essentially a trolley or light railthat runs from the SUNY Buffalo South Campus to the HSBC Arena through downtown, and the city usually schedules trains to handle the large crowds for events at the arena. There are also bus lines that run out to the suburbs.
As for hotels, Amherst is a nice suburb near the colleges, and they have hotels there. Cheektowaga is near the airport, and also should have hotels.

Buffalo Tourism has also set up this site for the Frozen Four, complete with cheezy flash intro: http://www.centericecrewbuffalo.com/
It sure is great to see our logos. Huggy bear or not.
Check out http://www.nfta.com/metro/ for public transportation.
nevermind. All is good. Turned out to be a retaliation prank for the awesome one that I pulled on my supervisor yesterday. I am very impressed cause I fell and fell hard for it. It'd be still going on had I not been so visably upset and teary eyed! :`( :-D
Holy cow, that is the meanest yet funniest prank I've heard of in a long time. Poor Melissa.
By the grace of FedEx, John B and I will be there. A week early and I've already started with the excited fidgeting...

[/Q] I got a room at the Comfort Inn in Fort Erie, ONT today. $65 in play money. Er, Canadian dollars. http://www3.choicehotels.com/ires/en-US/html/ChoiceHome?sid=xua2M.216P05Ypc.1
The hotel is right across the border. 10 minutes from the arena, plus the time it takes for the cavity search. ::yark::
I also reserved a car at Enterprise, and the weekend rates were reasonable. ~$35 - $45, depending on the size car you want.

Beth and Chris reporting in from Maine. We're in section 301 row 10, seats 11-12.
Melissa I wasn't sure I could get the time off either, so my brother ( a doctor) offered : "I will just send a quick e-mail to Roger (principal of school where I teach) and tell him you are sick with a new cold virus from Hong Kong. The virus is so cold it is frozen and never affects one person at a time but always four or more; we call it "the frozen four."

Got tix in the lottery. 103 row 2 seat 13. :-)
Section 103, row 14, seat 27.
I'll be in Section 306 Row 11. Two friends of mine will be in Sec. 322 row 7
Go to the USCHO ticket board. Last time I looked there were still quite a few people selling.
In either UHN or Michigan country, I think: 113, row 15, seats 17-18
I will be in section 309 as well. And my sister and her 3 friends will be in 307. LET'S GO RED!!!
Sec 308 row 11
Lenny
I bought my tix from a UNH guy, so I'm going to have fun!
Which sections are for which teams?
Info on USCHO indicates: 119/120 Minn; 114/115 Mich; 106/107 UNH; 102/103 CU...they are trying to get a ticket swap going so people can trade equivalent tickets but end up in their school's section....doesn't seem to have taken off as a concept. (maybe because it's been so hard getting the darn things in the first place....) Does anyone know if Lenny will be in goal near the CU section 2 periods, or the reverse?..btw, sec110 row25
Post Edited (04-05-03 16:47)
I don't know, but as I posted before, since we are the first seed, I think we get to pick which bench, etc.. At Albany and Providence I believe coach put the same format that the team plays at Lynah.

If he does that again, I'd say we're shooting twice at the 102-3 end. Have to change my seats.;-)
I'm in section 215. Are any other Cornell fans even in the 200 level? Looks like I'll have my hands full with opposing fans.
I'll be there.....center ice section 306 row 3
i might have some more tix coming my way.....i'll put up a post if i get some more for all those still in need
Zuania and I are present and accounted for in Section 100.

Hey Tom P.,
It was good meeting you in Albany. I am also in section 100, row 22, Seat 10. Where in 100 are you?
Andy W. '86
John Baust '98 and I have tickets in Section 205, row 3.
Let's Go Red!!
Jackie and I will be in section 308, row 9.
Is it Thursday yet?
Lets Go Red!!!!
[Q]Is it Thursday yet?[/Q]
Man, I wish. I don't think I can take another two days of counting down the hours. Drop the puck already!
Let's Go Red!!!
Getting tickets today and will be sitting in 325 with two other Sigma Pi's!
Even though the pep band is limited to 25 tickets for this game, alot of us were able to find tix through the lottery and other means (I believe about 43 of us in total). They will be counting instruments, though....:-P
Anyone wanna help me sneak in a tuba?
Me and my girlfriend shall be in row 3, section 103, seats 15 and 16
Wouldn't it make sense to bring as many tubas in visibly under the 25 minimum, and sneak in a piccolo, flute, or clarinet?
Or am I missing something?
JH
I'll be in Row 14.
Counting instruments probably helps us. Isn't the Michigan Pep band about the size of the A&LS college? ;-)
Section 315, row 3, seats 8&9 (I think).
Speaking of pep bands, was anyone else dissapointed that we didn't see the Script Ohio in Providence?
They played the music. Isn't that enough?
JH
I have to work Thur. sold my tickets to season tix holder that did not hit the "Lottery" But be damn sure I will be there on Saturday for the Cornell victory!!!!;-) LETS GO RED!!!!!
Section 325, row 9 (plus another CU alum coming all the way from L.A.)
303 13 1-4 Soon.
