Does anyone know if the Clarkson game on Feb 9 will be broadcast on anything beyond WHCU radio? I'm assuming that since it's a non-Ivy game, ILN won't show it? Thinking about getting a watch party together (kind of a long trip from Seattle to Potsdam), but gotta make sure we can see it before I set up the group invite!
Clarkson always has a free video stream of their coverage, and the production quality is pretty good too.

Clarkson was a pioneer in streaming their games. It used to be wide open, free, and perfect quality. This is now: http://www.clarksonathletics.com/sports/2006/9/26/hocbroadcastcentral.aspx Presumably if they have decided to monetize it it has become closed, expensive, and shitty.

Oh dang, this is disappointing but I can't blame them. Their broadcasts are still way better than ours, save for the commentating.
Edit—ok, the Clarkson site seems to indicate that the stream is still free.

So it costs money now to watch? Or there is no longer a stream at all?
Thanks for the link, it appears that they'll be broadcasting the women's game on Jan 30. I'll test that to see if it works, and will post my results.
Last weekend I saw parts of their game with Brown. It was free, and it appears that all their games are. Last week's broadcast was very lo-res.

They used to have tiered broadcasts (although both were free). IINM the hi res one had a user limit as low as 20.
I did a quick check on the start of the women's game on 1/30; free, but low-res as noted.

Schafer said the team was reading it's own press - which is how it felt during the game. Just a ton of drop passes to absolutely nobody and feathered passes that got caught in traffic like everyone was trying to be extra slick.
the video feed has started. THe audio is just playing area sound at the moment, and sounds like there is a loose connector on their mic.
Quality seems to have improved from a couple weeks ago. Allow me to apologize for Mike in advance - he's not the worst when it comes to homerism, but he's far from the objectivity level of Bob Ahfeld. We all miss Bob.
This broadcast makes ILDN look like Hockey Night in Canada.
I keep getting loops of the same 10 seconds over and over....
Refresh the page. It did that to me for a second and refreshing fixed it.
has the feed died for anyone else?
still working here, but dropped from HD to a fairly fuzzy SD
Thanks, I changed computers and it is back
.......kissing the sister.
the feed was getting wonky so i switched to WHCU. I'll take a tie. maintains the three point lead.
I think we clinched a top 4 finish with Colgate's loss.
That was a very good game. We got a little lucky and I will thoroughly take it.
Just beat the Saints, please.
really since period one of Union been a slow slosh of play. Angello went from on fire to hardly getting a scoring chance.
locked up 4th, 1 more pt to lock up Harvard.
have to hold off Union now too
back and forth game Clarkson won much of the first.. Cornell had much of the 2nd. pretty even 3rd and Cornell had good chances in OT.. really if they would just cut the sloppy clears life would be a beat easier.
Pretty gutty performance from a wounded bunch. Tomorrow is a must win for them.
That tie hurts my soul, especially after watching Jacome undress Galadja at the end of the 2nd just to whang one off the crossbar.
Given the ECAC standings and the injuries , Good road tie . Could have gone either way.
I'll take a tie in Potsdam.
And yes, we clinched the bye.
Given all the variables of this game—-on the road with a short roster against a dangerous and hungry team that took it to us in the 1st game and was looking to get out of its recent funk—-this is a tie I have no problem taking to the bank.
Also, fun fact—-the last 4 games started by Cairns have been 4 Cornell shutouts.

Excellent choices. Really well played game.
Interesting quote (http://www.watertowndailytimes.com/sports/college-hockey-goalies-for-clarkson-cornell-shine-in-scoreless-tie-video-20180210) from Clarkson goalie:
"Normally the games against (Cornell) I only get 10 or 15 shots. But this one they brought a level of compete and it was really fun."
didnt realize coach was out too.

Nor did I until seeing the coaches walk across the ice at game's end.

Wow, "throwing shade!"
I'm not convinced that comment was aimed directly at Cornell. It seems to apply more generally to Clarkson this year and may have been an assumption by the writer that wasn't really intended that way. But goalies do seem to like being busy.
I stand corrected. After listening to the interview, it's clear he meant Cornell games and, after looking up the history, it's also clear he's (at least partially) right. There have been games of 15, 16,18 and 12 Cornell total shots since last year.
Still getting over Colgate putting up 4 the next night to match Clarkson's 4, a match for our 0-0 game Friday.

I was thinking Colton Point might feel that way too, but Point didn't play this weekend. Senior Bruce Racine was in goal.
Is he Hunter Racine's cousin? They don't live close to reach other. Hunter's uncle Bruce was All-American at Northeastern.
