Memory lane, ignore if you're under 50. Joe Concannon BU '61 was the Boston Globe's college hockey writer just about forever (also road racing and other amateur sports). He died young, at 60, in 2000. About the saddest line you can see in an obit: "He leaves no immediate family, but ... Unlike Bob Ryan and Peter Gammons and later Dan Dan Shaughnessy, you would call him a solid writer, just cranked out the stories day after day.
