Tough to argue these geographically from a selfish Cornell perspective (except maybe Albany being shut out). Allentown could be great being very accessible for both those in Ithaca and the large alumni base in NYC
please make a run in 2019 please make a run in 2019

Penn State throwing their weight into the tournament in hosting 2x and bringing Allentown into the mix. PPL Center is new (opened 2014) and a reasonable size (8500). More "avoid the North Dakota regional" games as UND hosts Sioux Falls and Fargo. Holy Cross, Fairfield/Yale, Brown, and New Hampshire are all less of a threat to make the tournament as regional hosts.
Interesting that a non-hockey conference (MAAC) is the host for Buffalo. MSU is Detroit's host, RMU for Pittsburgh, and Hockey East in Boston.
I'm the only one rooting for us to wind up in Sioux Falls.
Forever waiting for the Seattle regional hosted by UAA/UAF...
Seattle - yeah, that would be awesome!! ::banana::
but not gonna happen until "I" (nudge nudge wink wink) get my basketball/hockey arena built.

I'm all-in with Allentown -- easy 2 hour drive for me.

I'm all-in with Allentown, too -- easy 5 minute drive to the PPL Center for me. Maybe 10 if the lights are against me. ::rolleyes::
Seriously, it's a great arena. But Allentown is not the most happening city. Then again, neither is Fargo, Worcester, Manchester...
But if we wind up in Allentown, and anyone wants restaurant recommendations, esp. for ethnic food, just ask. I can tell you where to get decent Jamaican, Ethiopian, Thai, Indian, Vietnamese, and others, too. The only thing we're really missing is Moroccan and a decent Korean place.
Now if we could only get a real cheesesteak.

Good park, so that's too bad (assuming the weather would be decent)

I'm guessing the water park in Fargo similarly would not be open in March. Or Smarch.

Say, what about Atlantic City for a NCAA regional? Plenty to do there ...

No clue. My sister lives 20 miles from there, so I never spend any time in town, Drive in, drive out.
But FWIW, the strip clubs in AC were right opposite Boardwalk Hall.
