"Go Cornell!!" ::cheer::
Now's when he should be speaking Gaelic! ::whistle::
For anyone in the Rochester area....
Supposedly, this game will be broadcast on Spectrum/Time Warner, SNY, Channel 26.
Here's hoping.
::rock::
Oh, and Happy St. Patty's Day!!
:-D
Cornell all over Onion in the first.
Can they keep it up?
::panic::
We had possession of the puck 68 percent of the time in 1st period.
21 shots thats about what we had in the 3 games total vs clarkson
Long shot of Greg before the start of the second. Mrs. Greg could be seen at the end of it.
Turned on the radio with 4 minutes left. I picked a good time! LGR!
Union was never in it.
Amazing.
Playing for the ECAC championship against Harvard on Saturday night. Lots of great memories over the years. Let's make some new ones!- LGR ::cheer::
Congratulations to Cornell! Let's beat Harvard tomorrow.
But...even if we don't...no jinxes...are we (almost for sure) in the NCAAs now?

Who was that team in red tonight? Limiting Onion to only one PPG?
Best game I've seen Cornell play this year.

We are in, period.
Best game I remember in years....
That game was amazing. What a forecheck.
It's like we're BETTER in Olympic ice. Just incredible- the anti Cornell, in terms of offense, but the same D as ever.
Good game by Coon.
...according to the recap on Union's website.
Being at the arena with my 2 kids was a great experience. Exceptional performance by the Big Red, clinching a deserved spot in the NCAA's. Hope they play just as loose and confident tomorrow!
crazy to look so bad most of last weekend and look so good tonight

Clarkson & Union are very different teams. You contain Foo & Veccione, all you have to do is beat Snuffleupagus. (thanks to section 9 for finally starting that chant).
Watching the first period was amazing. Then scoring in the second when we weren't as dominant was happiness. But the third started to remind me of the third with Clarkson. We looked like we were happy to just throw the puck out of our defensive zone. God, what a difference when we got the third goal. Whew
I have to think that we're big underdogs against Harvard. They look so strong. But at least we get to play, which 10 others can't say.
I don't care what Adam says, I want to win tonight.
take what you cant get.. you can win the ECAC tonight.. you have to win 4 more to with the NCAA and might not get past the first game..
if we get up to 7 in the PWR and possibly 8 eastern teams in the tourney there is a decent shot at staying east , not sure its a better shot than finishing 10-11th in pwr. if he feels its better to lose then show us some brackets.

Ha ha - I wouldn't root against it - it's just not fun thinking about the potential NCAA Region of Doom
I would take beating Harvard tonight, for the ECAC Championship, over any NCAA tourney success, short of winning it all. This is Harvard! For the Championship! Just win!

Yes, this. Flags fly forever. Let's force Lake Placid to add another row to our "jersey" banner.

How was the Lake Placid crowd? Certainly looked fuller on tv than the Joe for the Big 10 tournament.

Crowd in the evening was good, not great. I'd estimate 60+% full. Seemed like few Union fans until they scored. They roared for a bit and then went back into their funk.

Sounded like they didn't have a lot to cheer about. :D
Go Red!
Every time we yelled Let's Go Red!, some of them yelled "U". That was the extent of audience participation for Union.
Definitely a Big Red crowd lacking in students, but the ones who were there were into it.
I think Union was a one (very good) line team. Take that away and they were a toothless lion.

Pretty much. Their defense isn't very great and Sakellaropolous is average. I doubt they get past whatever regional they wind up in.
