Clarkson hasn't looked too hot since November and hasn't had any "quality" wins since then either.
As intersession doesn't end until Wednesday, I assume most students are still home for break. So not much of a home ice advantage this weekend.
Indeed. The majority of students around right now are Greek Life members and rushers and they'll have their own stuff occupying them. I'm sure some will be at the games but not enough for a proper atmosphere.
Jason teases our first home game in about 6 weeks with "a long awaited day, and a transfer of power."
'Scuse me while I drink this bleach,
We come out with our road helmets. Huh. Maybe a "Road Warrior" theme?

It's weird, given that we could very well look back on today as the day democracy died, that I still care a lot about the outcome of this game.

Beat Clarkson. Priorities.

Jason calling the action said "Amarosa with a shot on goal." That kid will haunt me all game
This is a good example of how random a game of hockey is.
I'll take a comeback tie after what sounds like a sloppy start to the second period. Back down to 11 in PWR before this result is factored in.
controlled 75% of the game but a bad give away and deflect one into your own net hurt.. still coming back from down 3-1 makes it feel almost like a win..
makes tomorrow even bigger.

Yes.

harvard's win plus our tie and we drop behind the crimson into 12th

I thought the game seemed more even then the SOG. Clarkson forechecked us harder than most teams have this year, and it gave us some problems, even though it didnt lead to many great chances for them. Their top line was dangerous every time they were out there. Certainly nice to come back from two down against a pretty good team.
did anyone catch why the Red Helmets were in play?
Clarkson had a few spurts, they were really aggressive in their positioning on the fore check so we ran some outlet plays that were unusual for us and took awhile to set up.
Still we have several extended cycles and some really solid chances where we just threw the puck away.
the 2 giveaway goals were not caused by pressure which hurt even more.
We also had several guys sitting 10ft out with some poor shots.
I thought the clarkson goalie had several key saves that were tough, I didnt think Gillum really had many hard chances to save, he has several chances that sailed wide though.
Weak teams talk about bad hops and bad luck. Strong teams talk about effort and game plans.

Meanwhile, hockey teams tend not to talk about game plans, because you generally try not to make those sorts of things too public.
Ever notice that the attitude of a team is reflected in the attitude of its fans? This same phenomenon is found in the attitude of holders of public office and attitude of their fans.

We need a Women's March on Lynah, then.

Truth is, I never noticed this. And I certainly don't notice it in this year's Cornell hockey team. What I do notice is a very negative attitude on the part of you.

I've noticed a positive team attitude and a positive fan attitude?
Have you not noticed references to bad breaks, bad luck, road trips, etc. on this site to explain some close ones (losses)? I did not make these excuses but I surely read them. Is there some unwritten rule against hypothesizing about changes in play and strategy? I watched Cornell play a lot of "dump and run" hockey in the 60's. I watched them win a lot of games too.
Zero discipline on this team.

So did I. But I don't whine when the team is 12-4-2.
Great win, but the number of penalties coming in the offensive zone/off the faceoff/after the play is over is going to cost this team at some point.

I'm not sure how one would measure"team attitude" . Sounds like a dissertation topic.
Fan attitude means what?
% of game that those in section A stand? Creativity of cheers? Blah blah blah....
What i notice is that the boo bears have had a bad couple of weeks. Since they are posting less can we assume they are without an Internet connection?

I was only listening but without even seeing it the Kaldis retaliation penalty was terrible.
Refresh my recollection: are these guys going to miss a game?

No. They were not disqualifications.

I noticed that too, but I rolled with it!
