Title: Minnesota vs Mercyhurst
Post by: jtwcornell91 on March 28, 2003, 08:54:52 PM
Minnesota 2, Mercyhurst 0 (1st)

No problems for the WCHA here.  Mercyhurst did have a scoring chance coming out of the box after killing a penaly.

[edited in case we're not supposed to put the score in the subject line.]

I am becoming more bitter about Minnesota getting Mercyhurst.

Unless I'm watching a tape delay and don't realize it, it's still 7-0 in the 2nd.  8:42 to play at 8:42pm CST.

Well, it's 8-0 now, not sure how much time is left in the game.

This according to Mercyhurst radio.  I stand corrected from before, the UNH announcers didn't know what they were talking about :-)

End of 2nd period, 8-0 Minnesota.  Sorry for the confusion.

Still 8-0 after two.

Woog and Mazzocco were trying to figure out who the #13 and #14 teams are; their initial guesses were OSU and SCSU.  Then they guessed maybe it was SCSU and Mankato.  Do they not realize the reason Minnesota is playing Mercyhurst in the first place?!?

It sure looks like MN is Mercy-hurting its opponent.  Refs, call the game already...The score is getting way out of hand here :-)  Unless, Mercyhurst pulls off the all-time come-back...Nah.  :-D

No team should run up a score against an unmatched opponent. I don't care what game it is. It's pathetic. Reminds me of a Harvard women's game that was 17-1 this year. Totally unnecessary and embarassing to the losing team.
