Title: 10/22: Cornell 8 Brock 1
Post by: Trotsky on October 22, 2016, 07:39:02 PM
Solid defensive effort in the first period, killing off 4 shorthanded situations and somehow outshooting Brock 17-8.

Goes without saying - way too many penalties in the first period. Nice that the goal floodgates have opened in the second.

Anyone having trouble with the WHCU audio? The commercials are coming through crystal clear, but the play-by-play has this "wonk wonk" feedback under it.

Ryan Coon gets a period.

Solid win, obviously.  Brock was a big step down from UOIT.  Lots more short handed situations for Cornell.  This was probably not much prep for the real season.

Mitch was out tonight; hopefully that's not anything serious.

Loved watching Murphy and Mallott; Starrett is definitely improved and/or healthy); another good game by Nuttle.

Looks like you can pair Angello with anybody and he can still score.

Why do you think it's an injury? Likely Coach wanted to play both "regular" goalies and then when the chance came, he played Coon as well.

Yes, it's awful.

I spoke with Jason after the game... They're aware of the problem & working on it.   He said they've had the same problem with football broadcasts.

Things sounded great when broadcasting commercials or recorded interviews.   When they broadcast live from Lynah, it was awful...

They'll get it.
