Did you find a schedule somewhere of all the college hockey games ESPN3 will be showing? If so, can you provide it? Only ask because the cornell web site does not note the 11/4 game vs. Dartmouth, but I checked the app and it is indeed scheduled to be shown.
Edit: Nevermind, just saw the article. They just hadn't updated the schedule portion yet for all the games
Game Friday can be purchased for 10 bucks through Merrimack.

I wish the direct college extra that showed so much promise of ESPN3 college games would actually show these games.
According to both the Directv channel guide and the Mid-Atlantic Sports Network website, MASN will be airing the Cornell @ Union game Friday night. Starting time has been moved to 8:30 EST. For those with Directv, it's channel 640.

Thanks, added. I was hoping that local Time-Warner (Spectrum) might pick it up.
It is listed also as being rebroadcasted the next day, Feb 4 at 1230 on same DirecTV channel 640.
It appears in the New England area NESN Plus Comcast Channel 894 is carrying the game live.
While I like being able to watch this game, I'd be curious to hear opinions on what an 8:30 start means
for the following night. My guess is probably not too much but it is a little worrisome. Union will be a opponent
and should it not go so well on Friday against them, it makes Saturdays game that much more important.

It's good that it's not a long travel, like the P & Q weekend. I agree, it's probably not that big a deal. Playing Union, on the other hand.......
I just did a TWCNY (Spectrum) search and it shows the game rebroadcast on Sportsnet NY Sat at 12:30 PM, but not live. They're showing a variety of other shows Friday night. Maybe we can be lucky and a local TW will pick it up, but maybe contractually they can't?
Are any of the networks that we know are broadcasting the game available for free via Roku?
Quote from: andyw2100Are any of the networks that we know are broadcasting the game available for free via Roku?
I use an app called TV Cast (the logo is a white monitor on a light blue background) that has worked seamlessly through Roku to mirror whatever you have on your iphone/ipad etc. Then you can just go to the Union URL through the app and be good to go. Hope that helps.

Thanks. That is interesting, and helpful.
But when you say "go to the Union URL", I imagine you are referring to the pay-site for the game, right? I'll pay $10 or whatever to watch the game if I have to, but if it is being broadcast I'd prefer to watch it for free.
Thanks.

Ahh didn't realize it was a pay-for service for the Union game, but yes that is what I meant. Some of the others schools (Qpac, Colgate maybe) have free streaming services that I've successfully used through the app and roku.
We now have a seemingly comprehensive list of the channels showing the Union game in various regions, including which will show it live and which on delay. Sorry I couldn't get the formatting quite right.

Great. I'm on the wrong side of South Dakota to catch it.
Spectrum TW Albany is now going to carry it live on channel 1255. If anyone picks up other TW areas carrying it, let me know. Syracuse isn't listing it live. Just delay on SNY Sat.
Also on WRGB 6.2 Albany.
It looks like TUFF TV has an online stream that's free on their website.
When you go to http://www.tufftv.com/schedule/ there is a large WATCH TUFF TV LIVE! banner ad that launches the streaming.
The quality is not super great, but it may be an option for some of you.

I wish I had discovered this last night. During the third period, the video froze on a commercial for all my sources of TSN2, and I was left with a still photo of a Home Hardware commercial while listening to the tv announcers.

Too bad ASN is not found on many cable networks.
And it's also too bad that the ECAC link doesn't show anything. What they should say is, links will be found once we know the teams that will be playing. Par for the course.
Yeah, I found ASN once being re-broadcasted on the Comcast network, but only because Penn was playing.
hopefully someone pick it up and doesnt black out out locally.
I wonder If ASN is somehow Roku-able. Anyone?
I dont think there is a roku stream but there is a Kodi stream.
At least there's video streamed and video via TV. If there's an outstandingly good play(s), maybe it'll make a pre-game clip heading into the NCAAs, or during the selection show.
Is anyone planning on watching any games this weekend via the ECAC's streaming service (Boxcast)? If so, please reply as to how it went.
interesting boxcast says watch from any device.. I see mac/pc roku apple tv..
i dont see firestick yet it claims android..

There is indeed a boxcast channel for Roku - I added it last night. I wasn't able to find the game by searching "Cornell", "ECAC", etc. but I'm hoping it appears tonight.
Seems BoxCast mostly just broadcasts those bizzare super-church services with the jumbotrons and the hooterin and hollerin.

awesome. thanks!
So, um... who is actually carrying these games? ILDN is not.
Boxcast has 2016 links up and is in general a hot mess. I can't find anything to do with this year's games from any round of the tourney.
Edit: Evidently the boxcast link will become available via the ECAC site: http://www.ecachockey.com/men/index Cost is $9.95 and video is scheduled to begin at 6:45.

I see that they will only carry the broadcast till 2:30 AM. I assume that means there is no archive to watch, even if you pay. I put in a purchase, in hopes that I'll be able to record it when I get home.
However, in case I have a problem, would anyone who will be watching online be willing to record it? Of course I'll pay for any costs, but I'm trying to accumulate as many broadcasts of the year as possible.
Thanks in advance to anyone.
Now off to Lynah.

Added Box Channel to Roku a half hour before Friday faceoff. No ECAC programming. Lotsa churches, Los Gatos HS sports, and the Kent State Experiential center. If the game shows on Roku, I believe the proper response would be, "Praise the Lord." Meanwhile, fire up your laptops can get out the long HDMI cable.

Per Box support, the sporting events are never available on roku. Not that complaining to the league would do any good but there has to be a better solution.

TWCNY is showing only the second game, ours, on SNY for Friday & the championship on Saturday. I'm going to start a new thread for this.
Time Warner/Spectrum out of Rochester usually shows reruns of RIT hockey, or the Amerks.
I'm not hopeful.
::cuss::
In Rochester you should be able to view the games on SNY. Spectrum has Atlantic Hockey this weekend.
Apologies for being clueless, but is SNY carried nationwide on Directv? I see it listed as channel 639. Does that mean anywhere in the US with Directv will be able to show the game - like a random bar in California?

Sure looks like it. This is the schedule page on SNY's website:
https://www.sny.tv/schedule
unless some other channel in that local area bought the rights it should be on.
btw, have gamewatches gone totally out the window? I know Ship of Fools has been gone for several years and the games are far more accessible than 5-10 years ago, or is it just a sign of waning fandom.

If Cornell, the school, were doing it right, they'd buy the game tonight and set up a giant watch party in Duffield or Statler or something.

This would be soooo out of character for Cornell. Maybe a Fraternity would be smart enough to do this as a recruiting tool, but the timing for Rush is wrong. It would make sense if the Cornell Club in NYC would run a watch party, since they are supposed to be catering to active alumni who care.
if cornell bball was playing tonight they would be doing something i expect
The Cornell/UML game will be streamed on ESPN3, as will both first-round games in Cincinnati, and WMU vs. AFA. BU vs. NoDak will be on ESPN2. The three remaining first-round games, and all four regional finals, will be on ESPNU.
http://www.ncaa.com/interactive-bracket/icehockey-men/d1
if the ncaa was doing their job they would push for at least the espn3 feeds to be included in the directv side that pushes them to tv.. those channels are unused most of the time and they are showing nit and womens ncaa games on them this week.

the bar is a good hockey bar and Canadian friendly, it hosts all the Blue Jays playoff viewing parties.

I went there once last year for something totally unrelated to sports. One of the managers was a Union alumnus and there was a Union flag hanging on the first floor as I remember.
Here's simple for all broadcasts, I hope.
