Well, I got the "official" ruling from the NCAA, through Providence College, that Snickers will not be allowed. Since they are not an official NCAA sponser they can not be distributed. Of course they don't have any other candy sponser that can be substituted, but that makes no difference to them.
So I have a few bags of Snickers to get rid of. I thought of standing outside and letting everyone have some and they could do what they want with them. However, I don't want to miss all the fun inside either. God knows I can't eat all the bags (or even the candy inside them);-) .
Any suggestions?
Jim,
You'll probably notice I don't make many comments on the 'Forum' but I do read it regularly. My suggestion is to ask a friend who has a son playing on the team to smuggle the Snickers into the rink and pass them to his father, who, in turn, could return them to you.
Jay
nice. VERY nice!
i love people who get around the system!:-D
They could also find their way into the rink in a tuba.

No illegal or otherwise innapropriate materials have ever been transported in my tuba B-]
Seriously, not a bad idea.
Seriously, I won't put a CU player at risk. So, although that idea is out, others? Unfortunately I have to stay out of this, since they have my name and number. I'd be happy to give moral and nutritious support to anyone, after that your on your own.
You could put little "NCAA" stickers on each candy bar to cover up the wrapper.
Great minds. . .(http://smilies.crowd9.com/otn/wink/thumb.gif)
Although talking about it in a public forum may be a bad idea... ::uhoh::

I believe that's spelled "NC$$".
Well, I'm bringing them with me in my car. Any ideas email me through Fri 10 PM. After that it's sleep and you can call my cell phone Sat. AM on my way to Providence 315-420-3530.
I don't really have any suggestions for you about what to do with all your extra Snickers.... but I did want to thank you for all the good luck you've brought me/the team this season. See, I've had this superstition all year long: every time I've caught a Snickers from you, I've saved it until we've scored another goal, and then I got to eat it. During the regular season, I was never left with a Snickers at the end of the game. At the ECAC Championship I happened to get two Snickers from you. During the third period, after Harvard scored the go-ahead goal, I realized that we needed two goals to win and I had two Snickers left... Needless to say, I did get to eat those two Snickers and the superstition held true. I just wanted to thank you for picking up where the bear left off! **)
