Maybe I am more out of it than I thought but in looking at Harvard tickets being offered for $150 and I see on other sites $200 is there really that kind of demand? The tickets havent even gone on sale yet and there will be hundreds for sale when they do since we are so far off in season ticket sales.
Are people really spending that much or even say $50 for this game?
The answer to your question may lie in the fact that those Ticket forum threads are still live in the Ticket forum.
People have always tried to make a profit on Harvard tickets. Some succeed, some don't. Asking doesn't mean receiving.
Not to mention that the spring semester doesn't even begin until 4 days after the Harvard game. I wouldn't be surprised to see some big gaps in Sections A & B during the game (not that there haven't already been big gaps in those sections for most games this year).
That said, I have had a few inquiries about our tickets for the Harvard game from some of my "usual" buyers. I've had to turn them down, since Daina and I will be at the game, so maybe demand is up a bit. :-)
(We won't make it up in time for Dartmouth on Friday, alas.)
interesting that the school is selling tickets early for harvard to season ticket holders, dont recall them doing that in the past?
Cornell classes don't start till the following Wednesday, so many students probably won't be back for the weekend.
Students will be back for Rush Week. And I can guarantee that the student sections will be filled. Not the first time they've played the game at this time of the year, and it's never been a problem.

This. But I disagree about rush week being as significant as you imply. Yes, there are students back for rush week but those same people will almost all be caught up in activities that occur at the same time as the games more likely than not. There are other students that come back but people don't really show up until right before classes start. The campus is still relatively quiet during that time period.
I do hope people show up for those games though. That Harvard/Dartmouth pairing is probably the best weekend.
