Just came from the LV Phantoms - Hershey Bears game.  Sean Collins had two assists for Hershey, although he missed the last attempt on the shoot-out that allowed Lehigh Valley to win.  Cole Bardreau was still out with an injury for LV although he was in several promos on the big screen..

Title: Matt Moulson mention
Post by: David Harding on December 19, 2015, 11:25:05 PM
The Chicago Tribune (http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/hockey/blackhawks/ct-jack-eichel-buffalo-sabres-blackhawks-spt-1218-20151216-story.html) focused on Jack Eichel before today's Sabres - Blackhawks game, but gave some coverage to his host familiy.
QuoteJack Eichel had posters of some of hockey's greatest players on his bedroom wall while growing up in Massachusetts: Sidney Crosby, Pavel Bure, Alex Ovechkin, Steve Yzerman.

The children of Sabres veteran Matt Moulson have their own future NHL star hanging around the house: Eichel.

The 19-year-old wunderkind, who came in with dizzying hype as the second selection in the 2015 draft, lives with the 32-year-old Moulson and his family in a Buffalo suburb as Eichel adapts to NHL life on and off the ice.

"I love living at his house," Eichel said. "He and his wife and kids are awesome. I feel like I'm a part of their family and they really take care of me."

That has helped smooth the transition to playing professional hockey in a city that is passionate about the sport and has been yearning for a resurgence for its team.

"He fit right in with our family right away," Moulson said. "We love him like a son and brother. When he's not running errands and shopping, he's at the house hanging out with the kids. It's basically like having another family member in the house."

Eichel is particularly fond of joining Moulson's 2-year-old son, George, in the basement for a game of hockey using miniature figurines.

"(Eichel) is still a kid," said Moulson, who occupies the stall next to Eichel in the Sabres dressing room at the First Niagara Center. "He gets giddy over some things, and sometimes I don't know the lingo he's talking. He adds a little more excitement to the household with certain things. He's fun to be around. He's a really good kid."

A coworker from Buffalo has family who work in the Sabres' organization.  They say Eichel really respects Matt and looks up to him.

So... Crash Davis is 20 years my junior.  Time.  It passes.  Though I would not say quickly.

Canadiens vs Panthers Recap: Ben Scrivens' solid debut spoiled.

"The game started poorly for the Canadiens, with a high-sticking penalty going to Tomas Fleischmann less than a minute into the game. Scrivens, however, gave Habs fans something to be positive about, by making several spectacular saves in the early going, keeping Florida off the board."
