Neat article. Thanks for that.

Thank you very much. I still have my Cam Abbott jersey. Chris and Cam still are my favorite Cornell hockey players.
Scrivens out:
"The Oilers were without forwards Taylor Hall and Benoit Pouliot -- both placed on injured reserve earlier in the day due to lower-body injuries -- and goaltender Ben Scrivens, who tweaked a hamstring injury in a victory on Monday.....
With Scrivens out indefinitely, Fasth is likely to face the Canadiens for the first time in his career."

Scrivens was rock solid in a 12 round shootout win against the Bruins. The Oilers were heavily out shot in OT. The Bruins announcers also talked about Scrivens' Cornell, ECAC, and NCAA accolades while praising his game in the 3rd period.
Colin Greening sighting: He scored with less than a minute left to send the Senators game into OT. Unfortunately, it was the Binghamton Senators and they beat Lehigh Valley 4-3 in OT here in Allentown.
The people around me gave me some dirty looks when I cheered as they announced his name as the goal scorer.
my twitter feed says Ferlin was recalled from Providence. It also says he's one of the "most improved" P-Bruins since the start fo the season.

I was JUST complaining about his lack of a callup. I don't think he's been putting up a ton of points lately (not that many on the season and I know he had a flurry about 15-20 games in), but that's not everything. Curious to see what he does with NHLers around him.
Brian Ferlin managed 10:33 of icetime at an even plus minus. Impressive as the Bruins lose 5-1.
Matt Moulson got his 150th career goal and 300th career point last night in the Sabres 3-1 loss to the Rangers.

He scored thirteen seconds into the Rangers' goalie's nhl debut.

Moulson never was the fastest skater.
Ferlin makes up a major chunk of this story. Nice picture to go with as well...

(No idea if non-subscribers to the GLobe online site can read that link or not....)
awesome assist for Ferlin. He created that goal with excellent work down low.
Against Blackhawks last night Ferlin had an assist and was +1 in 7:30 of ice time.
"Scrivens, Oilers hand Wild rare loss at home"
Ben #2 Star in Oilers' 2-1 win in Minny.

Scrivens took over from there as the Wild kept firing. He made 28 saves over the final two periods, including 15 in the third, for his 12th victory.
"I thought we outplayed them for sure in the first, but we couldn't find a way to get it going in the second and third," Eberle said. "That's why goaltending is such a big factor in this league. [Scrivens] stood on his head and got us that win."
Not our alum, but Age and the other Rangers fans can sleep well tonight (http://prohockeytalk.nbcsports.com/2015/03/01/rangers-send-stempniak-to-the-jets-for-klingberg/).
And the Penguins reacquire Ben Lovejoy.
Augh.
Ok, but if we start talking about Cornell alums, let's start March, okay? It's closer to spring.::banana::
Only 19 posts. The division of this into monthly threads was... ill-advised. ::starwars::

What's "spring"?
