Here are the goals:
Hilbrich GWG (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1A44bA2GDD8&list=UUTkg94Dtnf-b4PAwz1UV31g)
Ryan Bliss makes it 2-1 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EwlnmwUuzvg&list=UUTkg94Dtnf-b4PAwz1UV31g)
Reece Willcox ties it in the first on the powerplay. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZNm2te8avmU&list=UUTkg94Dtnf-b4PAwz1UV31g)
Finally, a decent outcome. Hold the opponent to 2 or less, score 3.
I need to eat some crow tonight. Hilbrich's goal was a goal scorer's goal. Great hands on that one. I still think he plays small for his size but tonight that was an impressive shot.
Overall it was a decently played game. The first was excellent. The second was mediocre. The third was pretty good.
I was pleased that Gillam shook off the second Yale goal and made a couple of good saves almost immediately afterward. That's always a good sign in a goalie.
all the talk of attendance and we fail to look at the game threads. 10 years ago there would have been pages of talk during and after the game. now we dont always even get a game thread at all.
This is strange. We play probably our best game of the year, and hardly anyone posts about it!
This was a huge win against a program that had a 4-point weekend on the road last weekend in a performance so good that even their normally cranky coach was quoted as saying every player played well.
Notwithstanding the misplayed puck that let Yale tie the game, Gillam was brilliant. Yale is going to look back at this game like we looked back at some of our earlier games where we had numerous quality scoring chances that we failed to capitalize on, but a lot of the credit has to go to Mitch. We also skated well and passed well getting out of our own zone and moving the puck quickly up the ice. Our three goals were all high quality shots. The way we've been struggling to score, it was nice to see some shots finally find the back of the net.
The much-maligned Lynah Faithful filled the student sections last night and made plenty of noise. Instead of a post-game scuffle, like we've had several times already this season, last night saw Schafer and Allain chuckle while chatting for a few minutes. I wonder if they were talking about their friend from Quinnipiac!
Let's hope we don't suffer a letdown tonight against a Brown team which gave Colgate everything it could handle last night. We're also be back at full strength tonight (except for Ryan) with Buckles and Anderson back in uniform.
I didn't see the game, but saw the highlights of the goals. Nice to see us finally get some pucks in the back of the net. Yale is a solid team, so this will certainly help the team's confidence.
We must build on this tonight and get another W.
Where both Knisley and Rauter healthy scratches? I was surprised that Knisley wasn't in the lineup. I thought he's played well this season. Certainly well enough not to to be a healthy scratch.

This!
Knisley was not a healthy scratch.
