Does anyone else remember the Spring Weekend boat races on Beebe Lake back in the day?
May as well take the opportunity to remember my great uncle Bernard Potter '43, former trustee and director of the NY State Fair. One of the many things he enjoyed in retirement was growing giant pumpkins - he's one of the growers featured in Lords of the Gourd (https://archive.org/details/LordsOfTheGourdThePursuitOfExcellence).
