Cornell lightweight 8+ loses by 1/2 length to Oxford Brookes University 'A' at Henley (http://www.hrr.co.uk/results/live/index.php?eid=316&year=2014).  This is an open class and they've been racing against heavyweights.  The winning time of 6:25 was the best yet posted in this year's Temple Cup.  It must have been quite a race. Outstanding year,  Big Red.

Oxford Brookes University 'A' beat Brown by 2 3/4 lengths with a time of 6:29 to take the Temple Challenge Cup.  So Cornell came within a 1/2 length, less than 2 seconds, of the eventual winner.

Cornell Lightweight Rowers off to solid start (http://www.cornellbigred.com/news/2015/4/4/MROW-L_0404150846.aspx?elinkdata=@ELINKDATA@).  Particularly impressive as they had to dodge icebergs on Cayuga during practices this spring.

Nice.  Thanks.  Don't think they have to worry about being "light" at Henley.

This crew is really slick.  The crew they were racing outweighed them by 28lbs per person.

Cornell loses by about a length to very good Dutch crew that set a Temple Cup record yesterday.  Strong headwind worked against the much lighter Cornell 8+.  Really great year!  BMA

Lights (http://www.cornellbigred.com/news/2016/5/15/mens-rowing-lightweight-mens-lightweight-crew-shines-at-eastern-sprints.aspx) did OK, but not up to standards set in 2014 and 2015.  Heavies (http://www.cornellbigred.com/news/2016/5/15/mens-rowing-heavyweight-heavyweight-crew-has-solid-showing-at-eastern-sprints.aspx) took one bronze.  If there are more than seven boats in a category, there are preliminary heats in the morning.  The first two or three boats to finish (depending on the number of heats) race in the afternoon Grand Finals.  The others race in the Petit Finals or Third Finals - consolation races.
