Today's schedule (all times E):
3:00 Union v Providence (E F)
4:00 Denver v BC (N SF)
5:30 Robert Morris v Minnesota (W SF)
6:30 North Dakota v Ferris (M F)
7:30 Mankato v Lowell (N SF)
9:00 Notre Dame v St. Cloud (W SF)
It appears the Union - Providence game is not being broadcast anywhere yet. ESPN 2, where it's supposed to be, is still showing a tennis match as of 3:09 PM, and the ESPN site isn't streaming it. It looks like the tennis match is about over, though.
Bodie from Carr, Union 1-0.
Doubly nice, since we never have to face either of them again.
They just joined the game in progress, over four minutes in, with Union already up 1-0.
"What a glove save by Connor Stevens!"
ESPN. Always at its best.

Because the tennis was running late, they did have the hockey game on ESPN News until the next faceoff after ESPN2 picked it up.
Don't tune in late to the games. BC up 1-0 and the game isn't even 2 minutes old.
Union now up 2-0.
Providence scored with about five minutes to go in the third. Now 2-1 Union with 4:05 left in the third.
And Union counterpunches yet again and wins 3-1.
BC up 6-1 through 2 periods. Gaudreau is 3-3-6 +5.

Since he's hardly played lately, do you think he wants to be sure the Hobey voters haven't forgotten him?

I see Denver was happy to oblige.
Robert Morris' Cory Wydo (30 goals this year) just clanged the post, but Minnesota is sleep-walking through that game 3-0.
Edit: in the time it took to type that, make it 4-0.
Edit: in the time it took to type that, Wydo scores his 31st to make it 4-1, but then Wydo gets a bizarre penalty off the next faceoff when he kicks his skate back at the Minny guy he is lined up with (?!)
Congrats to the Dutchmen! If they can somehow muster 2 more wins, that would be very good for Cornell.

Wouldn't you think that Denver's coach, Jim Montgomery, would know how to stop Gaudreau since he coached him in Dubuque?

No!
Minny up 5-3 with 5 to go.
NoDak - Ferris are tied at 1.
Mankato - Lowell underway in The Battle of the Blands.
Gophers win, 7-3
Quote from: Jordan 04Congrats to the Dutchmen! If they can somehow muster 2 more wins, that would be very good for Cornell.
It would be detrimental to Cornell's chances of ever winning a national title, but it might make Cornell feel a little better about their season.
If I were a betting woman, I'd put money on Rocco Grimaldi scoring for NDak and winning this in OT.
I hope I'm wrong on the team.
Updates:
Ferris and NoDak tied 1-1 at 14:00 of ot
Lowell 1 Mankato 0 at 10:00 of per 3
St. Cloud 2 Notre Dame 1 after 1 period

Ferris playing wonderful team defense, very much in our style.
I share your fear that the Skating Racists will just have too many chances. If FSU wins it's going to be by sneaking behind NoDak and getting a cheapy.

Shit.
NDak wins on a goal early in the 2nd OT. No, it wasn't Rocco Grimaldi. In my disappointment, I didn't check the name of the scorer.
St. Cloud scores late in the 2nd; leads Notre Dame 3-2 at the intermission.

I actually think that U winning it all might be the best way for us to change and progress. If we were to have back to back Yale/Union champions, it might be the best way to shake up the coaches and convince them that opening up the offense is the way to win.

I suppose that's another way to look at it. Definitely hurts our chances of winning the ECAC (getting into the tourney) and recruiting, though.
At this point any damage regarding recruiting has already been done. U is in the Frozen Four, we are not. Might as well pull for the ECAC.
Notre Dame and St. Cloud going to overtime.
Beautiful play to set up the game winner for St. Cloud. Sniper shot too, off the far post and in by Dowd.
