Title: Chicagoland Cornellians Watching the Games
Post by: Faithful at Large on March 20, 2003, 02:02:20 PM
Any Cornellians in the Chicago area (esp. north of downtown) gathering to watch the games?

Can anyone recommend a sports bar?

Thanks from a recently transplanted fan who doesn't know his way around just yet!

I was planning on watching it at my apartment.  In fact, I'll be taking a half day from work tomorrow so I can.  I paid for NESN on DirecTV, and I'll be damned if I don't use it.

I'd be more then willing to have people over.  I've a 50" TV, TiVo, and plenty of couch space.  Let me know!

My home in Flossmoor (Chicagoland South Suburbs) is available as a viewing option for all Faithful, Friday and Saturday.  Anyone interested should e-mail me - I suggest you include a phone number where you can be reached tomorrow so I can get you good directions.  I'm about 45-50 minutes from either the Loop or O'Hare.
I would've posted earlier, but was toying with the idea of trading my United miles for a Friday morning flight ... perhaps next week.

Well that's a great offer!  Can you email me (bsw3@cornell.edu) your address and number so I can join you?  I am going to try and take you up on the offer if I can get out of work myself.

Thanks!

John, if you're going to be watching Saturday's championship game (I'm knocking on wood right now), send me an e-mail at brenton4@yahoo.com and maybe I'll join you.
