Title: SF Bay Area ECAC gatherings
Post by: Roy Kornbluh on March 19, 2003, 08:18:41 PM
From the CAANC, here are some viewing options in the SF Bay Area:

Friday, 12:30 Pacific Time ECAC semi-finals vs. Brown
In San Francisco: The San Francisco Marriott Sports Bar at the corner of Fourth and Mission has confirmed that they can receive the ECAC Cornell hockey!  Come join the WRO staff for a no-host lunch or just drop in at your convenience.
In Palo Alto:  Join other alums at The Old Pro at the Corner of Oregon Expway (aka Page Mill Rd) and El Camino. The more the merrier! (Questions? Contact Roy Kornbluh at kornbluh@erg.sri.com 650-859-2527.)

Saturday, 4pm Pacific time ECAC FINALS (we hope) vs Harvard or Dartmouth

Once again, Cornellians will meet in San Mateo at Scores Legendary Sports Restaurant in the Bridgepointe Shopping Mall. This week, however, we're up against NCAA basketball, and it is unlikely we will have a big screen for our game, or even be able to sit all together.  Scores told me today they expect to be very busy all day Saturday and can't promise us anything except a little tv tuned to our game.  So, get there early, stake a claim, and get the something tuned to Big Red hockey.  There's strength in numbers, but no guarantee of anything.  Contact Rana Glasgal '87 with questions (rg87@cornell.edu).

I am also offering up my apartment in Rohnert Park to watch the games.  Well, Friday, I will watching the tape of the game, Saturday I will watch live.

Did the SF Marriott confirm that they WILL show the game or that they CAN carry it?  Although no Bay Area teams are in action tomorrow in hoops, there will likely be a lot of folks looking for their hometown team....

I believe that's WILL show it.  Check with Karen Jewett (kj28) or Peter Lee (pel7) to be sure.
