Senior night. Harvard. Sellout. Ivy title in hand. Chance to wrap up fourth in the ECAC and a first-round bye. We'll see the seniors saluted after the game - er, Ivy League Digital Network, you're on top of this?
I hope that none of the junior class on the ice this evening will forego their senior season.
Nice period by CU. Finally one of those many chance gets buried.
I wonder what happened to Wilcox. He did not play much/any of the second.

I'm going to rephrase this as, "That's what happens when you shoot the effing puck!"
Seriously, how many people didn't roar at the TV when Ferlin dicked around with the puck one too many times when he was right in front and could have put a shot on at point-blank range? The "one move too many" problem is in full effect tonight.
Amazing comeback from that 2-0 Harvard lead and then getting the winner with a half minute to play in OT. I hope this gives Cornell momentum going into the playoffs.
Nice of Ivy League Network to keep the feed up for the senior night. Let's see if they keep the video going a little longer after other games if only for the handshake and final comments by announcers.

He made several egregious turnovers in our own zone: don't know if that necessarily had anything to do with it though.

He played some in the third but not a regular shift with Ryan. Lewis was taking his spot some.
Speaking of Ryan, I thought he was an absolute beast tonight.
Crude but the best I'm doing tonight.

Hard to see with the angle switching. Does Cole go behind the net and then put it out front on the left side, or does he put it through the crease from the right side after passing the net on his rush?
Edit: I'm pretty sure it's the former. He goes for the wrap around and then Lowry pushes it home.
Any way you swing it, that's a wonderful "dirty" end to a pretty rush. Those are the kind of goals this team needs to remember that it can score.
Thanks for putting that together, Jim!
It looks like the net came off the post just after the goal was scored. I wonder if that's what they were reviewing.
Brandon Thomas just posted this video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QtEB5FQMdI0&feature=youtu.be) of highlights from the game.
Be aware there is a big sound boost at :48.
Dunno if Brandon planned it but the McCarron goal that began the turnaround is at the exact center point of the video.
I had forgotten Iles' two huge saves down the stretch. Thank you, Andy.
It doesn't really matter now, but being able to see it on video, that tripping call on Gotovets at 10:56 in the third was a tough call. I remember thinking at the time that the call must have been on Iles (for tripping) and wondering about that, since he was clearly going for the puck, but I know there's some crazy rule about that, and figured that even though he was going for the puck they had called him for the trip anyway or something. When it turned out to be called on Gotovets it surprised me. Seeing the video it really looks like Gotovets was trying to trip the guy but didn't actually succeed. Iles clearly tripped the Harvard player while playing the puck, and Gotovets went down over Iles. As bad as that looked, I think that was a tough call against us.
Check out the young fan after the goal.
