I've put together the list here (http://www.tbrw.info/?/shootouts/shootouts.html). As you can see from following the links, it's early days as far as gathering all the data.
So we haven't scored on a penalty shot in forever, and we haven't lost a shootout (or at least, not one in recent memory). Sounds about right.
Well, we haven't exactly been burning it up on the shootout scoring. We're 8x25 .320. Our goaltending, OTOH, has allowed just 3x25 .120. That's why we're 4-0.
In penalty shots (http://www.tbrw.info/?/weekly_Updates/cornell_Penalty_Shots.html) since 1965 we are 4x20 .200, while our goaltending has given up 8x14 .571.
So,
.571 Opp PS 8x14
.320 Cor SO 8x25
.200 Cor PS 4x20
.120 Opp SO 3x25

Sure, but the Mets have had more no-hitters than we've had Penalty-Shot goals since I've been a fan (1992).

.625 Opp PS 5x8
.320 Cor SO 8x25
.120 Opp SO 3x25
.000 Cor PS 0x9

You don't score on penalty shots by having awesome goaltending, but you do win shootouts that way.
