Title: Game pucks used at Cornell
Post by: college pucks on December 03, 2013, 06:37:58 PM
I'm putting a template together of game pucks used for different NCAA schools.
I've set up a temporary website with the information I've gathered so far.

Anyone know what year these Cornell pucks were used in games or have more information for me to add?

http://collegepucks.angelfire.com/cornell.html

Your help is appreciated.

Thanks

Top center (white only on puck) is from 94. I helped out with the team during our dark years and have a couple of those pucks myself.

thanks!  would that be 93-94, or 94-95?

Can't help with specific years, but here's what I can offer:

ECAC Hockey used the logo with the red ellipse from 2000-2007, so that's the era the first two pucks of Row 2 are from, and the 3rd puck of Row 2 is post-2007.

The three pucks in the bottom row are all fan souvenir pucks sold at the Campus Bookstore or at games at one time or another. I'm pretty sure that all three are blank on the reverse.  The crossed hockey stick version, I bought sometime in the 1993-1996 timeframe.

One with the bear leaning on the C that says "Cornell Hockey" was given to me by The Bear at the NCAA playoffs in Grand Rapids the year that we played Miami and North Dakota.  And it is blank on the reverse.

I assume that you are also interested in identifying other school's pucks that are on your website. I posted a request on the RPI thread on USCHO http://board.uscho.com/showthread.php?105599-RPI-2013-14-Sunny-with-a-slight-chance-of-drivel&p=5827724&viewfull=1#post5827724. As I wrote there, I have no clue despite owning several of those. I can say that sadly Puckman is no longer part of the RPI logo.

You might want to start a general thread on USCHO if you want help for all of the teams. You certainly have accumulated a large collection.

Thanks ursusminor

I was trying to find the local boards.  I will look into USCHO in a bit.  Feel free to forward the link to anyone.
Yes, it is sad that puckman is no more.  Any information on any team puck is appreciated.

Thanks everyone else for your responses as well.

Puckman isn't dead, he was reskinned a few years ago and is no longer in the hockey logo.

I believe I caught the one top center during the 96-97 season but I have misplaced it so I can't say with 100% certainty.
