It looks like a another losing season ahead.
Edit: Glad I'm wrong in this game and I hope I'm equally wrong on the season outcome. :-D

You may turn out to be correct, but it's now 17-13 Cornell.
But this Ivy League network does not deliver the pregame or halftime discussions. Giant step backward, as the video quality is at least as bad if not worse.
halftime audio is available from WHCU directly. http://player.liquidcompass.net/WHCUAM
Audio quality is much better from WHCU directly

That's nice but why isn't it available over ILDN. Just sent an email to Robin Harris at Ivy League HQ expressing my dissatisfaction.
Not sure Robin Harris is the right person, like you said before it is a Cornell issue.
Not sure if I am seeing things but video quality currently looks dramatically better

Maybe the drunken cameraman suddenly remembered to switch to hi def.
video feed seems to be a few minutes behind actual game
BUt now without the higher quality, the feed freezes every few minutes

Here, too.
And now it just says "We are experiencing technical difficulties. Please stand by."

The more things change, the more they...well, you know.
I guess it is going to take a few weeks for them to figure out how to use this new system
Apparently we missed a touchdown
I suppose we could follow the game on livestats...oh, wait, that doesn't work, either.
Wouldn't it have made sense to test this whole business with a lesser Cornell sport before today?
Quote from: phillysportsfanApparently we missed a touchdown
by whom?
From the twitter feed: https://twitter.com/cornellsports
FB: More Jeff Mathews ... Completions to Gellatly, Sharpiro and then a TD strike to Hagy puts the Big Red up, 24-13 at the 10:02 mark.
And we missed yet another touchdown: FB: DE-FENCE!! DE-FENCE!! Kevin Marchand forces a fumble and Tre' Minor picks it up at the 18 and runs it in for his first career TD!
MOst reliably way is probably WHCU direct audio stream: http://player.liquidcompass.net/WHCUAM

Hey, just a couple of minor, unimportant events.
This is less reliable than Redcast
Wow fumble on the fake field goal results in another defensive touchdown for Cornell 38-13. Its a shame ILDN is not living up to the football team's play today
And another technical difficulties message
And another touchdown and PAT.
Perhaps the misleading title for this thread should be edited????

Wrote to him in the first half, but a very different problem in the second half. Video quality OK when it's working, but interruption after interruption.
Bucknell looked pretty good until it started to rain. Coincidence?
THis is just a beatdown, Bucknell with another fumble this time on the punt. What a different team from the 1st quarter

Maybe but it was Cornell's first game of the season and Bucknell's second
post game show only available on direct WHCU audio stream
Strange game. Time of possession: 40 minutes for Bucknell, 20 minutes for Cornell. Key stat was 6 turnovers for Bucknell, 0 for Cornell. Yale crunched Colgate today. Next week's a reality check.

At least the video should be nice.

I didn't watch the game but I just looked at the box score and it seems similar to past problems. Cornell had 17 total net rushing yards while giving up 230. Nine penalties for 70 yards.

Is there a lesser Cornell sport than football?
(OK, it's an unnecessary cheap shot after a big win, but still, someone had to say it.)
Can't agree with the above statement, with an attendance of over 15,000 reported at Homecoming. Hopefully Dave Archer's youthful enthusiasm will translate into more wins.

I said something similarly snarky last year and was (immediately and justifiably) reminded that football still outdraws hockey in alumni gifts by a huge amount.
Anyway, I am sure we all agree they should do a better job supporting the streaming product, regardless of the sport. The fact that many other schools with fewer resources, a lower national profile, and less investment in their technical programs destroy us in the quality of their streaming services is a brutal embarrassment.

Based on what I could tell from the video, there were a lot closer to 1,500 who stayed past halftime. The Homecoming attendance number is always huge, but the number of people in that crowd actually interested in the game is much smaller. If Cornell can average 7,000 or so a game, I'd consider that pretty good.

As a Jets fan, I can state with some authority that there are some loyalties that are simply unexplainable from any rational standpoint.
I do wonder how many of the homecoming attendees are there for the football, versus those there because it's homecoming, and "Homecoming!" and booze and reliving old memories on the hill and whatnot, without all the bother of Reunion. I suspect a lot of half-hearted hockey fans do the same thing for the Harvard game.
From the webcast (the part I could see anyway) it looked like an impressively large crowd to start the game, so I'm not surprised by the 15,000 announced crowd.

Yeah. I hear Pierre and Murphy hated the place.
