Sure sounded like Cornell came out rusty last night - thank goodness we had the individual talent to overcome it. ::uhoh::
On the other hand, remember that the hockey east teams will be carrying off-week rust into the NCAA regionals. Not sure how HE could create a 3 weekend playoff with only 9 teams to begin with (make the first weekend an 8 v 9 play-in game?), but it will be interesting to see if/how that off week affects the NCAAs.
The Fleet Center has NCAA b-ball next weekend. I think Hockey East had no choice if they wanted it in Boston.
The Pepsi has the next round of ball on the weekend after next! Nice timing for us. Of course they would have never received the tournament over Lake Placid if they were doing the basketball. When it was there back in the 90's Albany treated it like the final four. It was sold out again this year with a lottery to boot.
And HE didn't want to move their tourney to, say, Portland? Shocking that they didn't follow the ECAC's idea of moving the tournament from a traditional and storied locale.... ::rolleyes::
Maybe Placid was booked for a mites tournament. ::nut::
Isn't Oregon a bit far away to host a Hockey East tournament? :-D
