The NTSB intern (http://thedesk.matthewkeys.net/2013/07/16/exclusive-ntsb-intern-at-center-of-ktvu-gaffe-identified/) who "confirmed" pilots' names in SF crash identified as Cornell student.
Part of me wants to deny any relationship between him and Cornell.
Another part of me wants to shake his hand for a great prank.

The article only says that Fields-Lefkovic was the intern who answered the call from KTVU and confirmed the names. As dumb as this was, the real dunderheads were the people at KTVU who passed on the bogus names and read them on air. As Steven Colbert pointed out, the names sound Chinese and Asiana Airlines is Korean.

Ron Burgundy must work at KTVU.
