Title: Central Scouting Final 2013 Rankings
Post by: Trotsky on April 30, 2013, 12:38:37 PM
Forgive me if it's been mentioned somewhere else, but on 4/24 their final rankings came out (http://www.nhl.com/ice/draftprospectbrowse.htm?cat=1&sort=finalRank&year=2013).

The sole current ECAC player I see is Cole Bardreau (unranked, down from 205 at midterm).

Matt Buckles is 117.

Clint Lewis is 181.

For masochists, Michael McCarron is 35 (!) and Nolan DeJong is 111.

Which would make you a sadist as in, "A masochist says, 'Whip me' and a sadist says, 'I won't.'"

You can't spell "defectors" without d & s.

Is Bardreau's low ranking because of the injury?

It certainly had an impact. He lost the ability to impress the scouts after his tremendous WJC.

Remember, NHL teams have passed on Cole in two drafts. Will all thirty make the same mistake a third time? I believe that Cole has a much better chance of having a useful NHL career than your average sixth rounder. I hope Garth Snow and the Islanders' scouting staff agree with me.
