Title: Two NHL games at Yankee Stadium next year
Post by: flyersgolf on April 16, 2013, 10:34:01 PM
• Devils vs. Rangers at Yankee Stadium, Jan. 26
• Islanders vs. Rangers at Yankee Stadium, Jan 29

Lets hope CU can work something out and take advantage of this opportunity.  When Philadelphia had the outdoor game against the Rangers they had a number of other games played while the ice was down.

Perhaps Cornell vs. Yale? 1/31

Keep dreaming. Schedule for next season likely already completely done, contracts signed and everything. Things like this generally have to be worked out long in advance.

Maybe we can make that "California Dreaming (http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nhl-puck-daddy/five-outdoor-nhl-games-2014-yankee-dodgers-stadium-003823881--nhl.html)". OUtdoor game at Dodger Stadium in February?

Did hell actually freeze over when Yale won on Saturday night, thus making this possible?

What, it's not cold in LA in January?::screwy:: And we've complained about fog on the ice with indoor games late in the season.

I believe the plan is to play the L.A. game at night so they at least have a fighting chance of keeping the ice frozen.

Who says you need the ice to be frozen to play hockey?  I know of some folks in Cinannati who seemed to think otherwise...

I love Cincinnati (Michigan MBA '97).  That was the best feeling........hope I get to experience it with Cornell someday as well.
