Title: Cornell - Princeton

So... uh... that seemed to have gone well. Wish I could have been there.

You wouldn't have had any problem getting a ticket. As I posted on (UN-)Wallowing, the announced attendance was 113. That's 113 for a f**king playoff game.::moon::At least their band showed up.

That's hilarious. I mean, even if the weather is terrible and nobody wants to drive, YOUR ARENA IS ON-CAMPUS. Put on a fancy scarf and walk, Trip!

EDIT: I'm leaving this up because I kinda like the joke but if the attendance is inaccurate, none of it is relevant.

As I posted on the other thread, it sure seemed like more, but it wasn't even 1/2 full. Coach Schafer called Brown as having no atmosphere, but this was as bad as any Brown game that I've been to. Absolutely terrible. To show how important their hockey team is to the school, here's their recap on the ECAC site:

QuotePRINCETON, N.J. (3/8/13) - The Cornell men's hockey team earned its first win of the season against Princeton, taking game one of a best-of-three ECAC Hockey first-round series, 4-0.

Check back later for the full recap

113 seems like someone missed typing a digit.  While obviously poorly attended, it seemed at least 1/3 full on the webcast.

The way they played it was more like 666.
We should have won the previous meeting at Lynah!
Here's hoping we keep it up tonight.
No 5 on 3's or DQ's = Big Win.

It seemed like at one point or another during the webcast, more than 113 people blocked the camera's view of the ice.  Here's to a win tonight and spending next weekend in the New Haven or Albany area.

Nice pictures on the USCHO "article" on the game. (http://www.uscho.com/recaps/2013/03/08/ryan-iles-give-cornell-lead-in-series-against-princeton/) There are pictures of two of the goals in the net.

I'm probably in the minority here, but IF we can get by Princeton, I'm kind of hoping we get the Q. Why not? They have 2 weeks off (rusty??) and we will have to go through them eventually anyway (probably). Take 2 from the #1 team in their own barn may do wonders for our pwr (I don't know if it'd get us high enough though).

If Brown and SLU hold on:
Dartmouth wins Sunday -- 5/6/7/9 advance; we get Quinnipiac.
Harvard wins Sunday -- 6/7/9/12 advance; we get Rensselaer.

We definitely noticed at the rink.  It was done quite intentionally. Somebody cut the music a few bars into Alma (as they had been doing frequently for the band through the night, to their credit), then a few more bars into the song, they turned the music back on.

Fixed your post.;-) It was 113. Someone must be reading ELynah. 1130 seems reasonable, with about 2/3 showing up. It wasn't 1/2 full, but 1/3 is OK.
