From CHN the matchups are:
Score Shots
H-V H-V
(8) Princeton 5-3 30-25
(9) Cornell 0-1 39-12
(5) Dartmouth 3-2 30-24
(12) Harvard 1-1 22-27
(6) St. Lawrence 3-3 28-35
(11) Colgate 2-4 33-17
(7) Brown 3-3 30-48
(10) Clarkson 2-3 36-33
I think all of these are very competitive. If you look at the games many teams were outshot, sometimes by a lot (Princeton at us), even when they won. Higher seed home team won twice, 1 goal and 2 goal advantage, and there were 2 ties. So there could be a lot of upsets. Let's hope so.
Here's the list again; you pick the winners and in how many games, if you like.

Union's Colin Stevens shut out Clarkson on Saturday. Grosenick was scratched with an injury. (Possibly during warm-ups.)
Clarkson looked impotent this weekend.
There are some good matchups in there, but this isn't the quarterfinals round.

Correct, changed. Maybe I was just hoping.::twak::

That's an understatement. :)
Tickets for Princeton games are now on sale on their web site. They're selling the games individually, not as a package.

The other thread mentioned Gotovets is expected back from injury, so with the obvious exception of Bardreau, we should be a full squad this weekend.

Unknown.
I had just seen mowery and he appeared to be OK, but I dont know what the injury is. We can only hope he plays this weekend.

Nice
With his 40th win, Iles is now 10th on the Cornell all-time list (stats prior to this season (http://www.tbrw.info/reports/pdf/rpt50_Goalies_Career_W.pdf)).
Great attendance all around.

The plan is for 6 of us to contribute to trying to get the women's game attendance tomorrow over some of those numbers.
Hockey East was fun tonight, with every possible result working just the right way to tighten the top of the race, leaving this mess (Saturday opponent in parens):
32 Lowell (at Providence)
32 Providence (vs Lowell)
31 BC (at Vermont)
31 UNH (Maine)
30 BU (vs NU)
29 Merrimack (at UMass)
A 4-way tie for first is possible, a 5-way tie for first is only made impossible by a single point for BU, and a 6-way tie for first may only be avoided by a grand total of 3 points.
Most amusing possible final standings:
33 Lowell
33 Providence
33 BC
33 UNH
32 BU
31 Merrimack

That can't be right, unless the full-ish sections at center ice included a bunch of comps. Capacity is about 2K. I assume they're missing a digit.
Edited to add: I see this is covered in a separate thread.

Sort of pathetic that no one thinks twice about whether the Brown figure is accurate

SLU is the surprising one. The Canton community can usually be counted on for good support.
IIRC, the ECAC doesn't allow free admission (or something like that), so when students who get in free all year are asked to pay for tickets, attendance always drops for the playoff rounds.
