Title: CU vs. Maine
Post by: Robb on December 29, 2012, 11:36:10 AM
I didn't see it mentioned anywhere on here, but America One Sports (http://www.americaonesports.com/upcoming_events.asp) has pay-per-view video of the Florida games.  A friend watched last night's and he said the video quality was excellent and the FSU announcers were mostly tolerable (aside from insisting on pronouncing #24's name as "Gonzales").  I have no idea whether tonight's audio will be Cornell's or Maine's.

I watched last night and agree the quality was good and the announcers were mostly tolerable. I didn't capture the video and didn't realize my VOD went off at noon today, so I don't have any clips. Does anyone know if you can reorder broadcasts or get a DVD from them?

Thanks for posting that, Robb. I looked for video last night and didn't find any. (I guess I didn't look hard enough.) Checking now, I can't seem to find any information on what the cost to watch tonight's game will be. Anyone know that, or Jim, can you tell us what it cost last night?

Thanks!

Edit: The cost will be $8.00. (I had written to America One sports to ask, and they answered reasonably quickly.) Below is the link they sent to the event.

And I should have mentioned that last night the charge was for both games, so you should be able to sign in early. I assume it's the same tonight. They had 2 links, one for each game, last night, but once I signed in it was for the whole night.

I am able to get the consy and they allow me to watch last night's game. So I'll try and record it.

Jim, do you have a program to capture the video on your PC or will you make an analog recording?

I'm using "Streaming ideo Recorder" Sorry, but for some reason I can't type the missing letter. When I try, it opens the program.

Is this the product by Apowersoft?  I am at their web site and it offers a trial of the program with no indication of the cost.  Do you remember how much it was to buy? (I have been looking for decent capture software.)

Thanks.

Ferris St. scored 5 unanswered in 2nd and 3rd to beat UMD 6-2. Ferris is again a TUC.

And Cornell's livestats shows it as a 6-2 Cornell win over Maine.  Would be nice if it's prescient.::cheer::

I can't imagine what it was like for the announcers to call that game. "And the Bulldogs were doing great until the Bulldogs scored five unanswered.

I bought it a year or so ago. Don't remember cost. I had trouble recording straight from the web address of America One, but it does a decent job of capturing a window or you can outline the playback and capture that. But you need to be sure you don't open something else in that spot. It records whats is in that space.

It seems reasonable.I'll see about tonights game.

Jaksta does a good job capturing the stream directly from the source.

My son's bantam minor teammate is the brother of the Maine freshman goalie who came in when Oullette was pulled. How does Matt Morris look?

Wouldn't know, we didn't really put many of our grade A's on net

Talk about the wheels coming off the bus.
A 3-0 lead turning into a 6-4 loss?!
35 minutes of penalties? Ferlin gets tossed?
A team with the worst power play in the country scores on us twice?
We get out-shot 35-22?

WTF??!!

::help::

Their post-game "conversation" with Mike probably was not much fun for the players.

These types of games drive him crazy.    It sounds like a complete lack of discipline.....

Depressing game to see. And it started out so well.  The same seeming lack of energy that afflicted  Ferris State Friday seemed to hit Cornell after the first period Saturday. The interference call on De Swardt that led to a PPG and and also Ferlin's ejection, it was hard to tell if the calls were on target or marginal. Schafer seemed unhappy not ballistic. Two games in a row the opponent scored on a shot that looped up and over Iles. Still, Cornell almost came back. Would've been easier if w hadn't drawn two penalties in the last three minutes.

Attendance 3873 announced seemed about right for Sat both ganes. Less than half full.  Maybe next year with N Dakota and Unh it will get above 5000.

I take some solace from the hope that this kind of inconsistent bullshit is what leads to fun upset wins in the first round of the NCAA's.

Boy, do we look in great shape to play two at Denver this weekend!!
Not.

On a lighter note....does Ferlin get to play after his ejection against Maine?

Box says Game Misconduct not Game DQ so the answer is yes he plays.

Yeah, Denver isn't exactly killing it right now. Besides we were in worse shape heading into CC last year.

As "first victory in nine games"es go, that's not a bad one.
