I know this is about 4 days early, but I was just looking through some college hockey statistics and Quinnipiac's special teams play is quite striking. Through six games they are 3-2-1. On the PK they have gone 26/26 and on the PP they have gone 0/24. If ever a team wanted to just decline the power play this would be it.
I bet going 0 for six games on the PP is not really that rare of a feat. It's just more noticeable in the stats because it's the strat of the season. Likewise a perfect six games on the PK. Doing both at the same time is obviously a bit less likely.
They lost to AIC 2-1 on Tuesday.
