Title: Goalie Recruit
Post by: scoop85 on October 30, 2012, 11:01:03 AM
It looks like we've got another excellent goalie recruit on board.  As per Ben Scrivens on Twitter, we're bringing in Cameron Hackett, who will enroll in 2014.  Hackett is currently playing at the Hill School:

Here's a Canadian newspaper article (http://www.saultstar.com/2012/04/17/us-college-and-ohl-both-on-hacketts-radar) published last spring after Hackett was drafted for the OHL, and he was debating whether to go the Major Junior or NCAA route. As per the article, many of the NCAA "elite" schools were recruiting him.

I'm assuming this means that the USNDTP guy is likely out of the picture.

Hmmmm. He's 16 and already 6'2". I think I once heard about a tall goalie from Ontario who went to Cornell and then went on to study law. He didn't do too badly.

Was he perhaps nicknamed the "Four-Story Goalie"?
