QuoteBecause he never redshirted and because he needed surgery after breaking the fifth metatarsal in his left foot against Army on March 3, Pannell wanted a do-over, a chance to play his senior season on his own terms.
Does this mean that after Pannell got injured this past spring, they didn't apply for a medical redshirt because they thought he'd get back on the field for the playoffs? Or that he didn't take a seasoning redshirt earlier in his college career as is common in DI-A football?

I would guess the author doesn't understand Ivy policy on redshirting and is thinking in terms of Syracuse football, basketball, etc.
