Title: Please NO RPI-UNION SPOILERS before YES rebroadcast
Post by: jtwcornell91 on March 07, 2003, 03:57:52 PM
Is anyone planning to watch the tape-delay on YES and read the eLF in the meantime?  Should those of us with NESN access be careful about spoiling the result before it's been on YES?

Edit: see below

I would appreciate that.

I would as well... maybe have an non-Union/RPI results thread, with a special Union/RPI one or something... so long as they're not showing BU/Prov in Ithaca too, but I guess I'd take whatever college hockey I can get.

I think the NESN listing for BU-Providence in today's Cape Cod Times is simply a goof, since it's FSNE that's doing the Hockey East tournament.  But finding what's on and when in the world of televised easterncollege hockey always seems to be a struggle--witness This Week in ECAC Hockey.

tvguide.com is showing an ECAC Playoff game on NESN, where they used to have an unspecified college hockey game.

YES is airing tonight's RPI-Union game tape-delayed by two hours.  Please delay any discussion of results for the same length of time, for the sake of people waiting to watch the broadcast.

Isn't there an element of reader discipline in this?  Can't the NESN watchers start a thread like "Union v. RPI: SPOILER WARNING" and then discuss or update away?

Remember: Don't change the topic to reflect the score.

Of course, I am watching neither broadcast (nor will I be checking eLF until much later), so perhaps I should just stay out of this.

As you were.
