So is Marozzi starting to look like a third stringer or will he and Gillam compete for the job when Iles' time on the hill is up?

He will be gone by the beginning of the 2013-14 season. He's a senior next season.

Iles will be a senior, Marozzi a junior, and Gillam a freshmen in 2013. That's a good situation for the staff. With the starting job open in 2014 the staff can go hard after a stud goalie if available, and if not Marozzi and Gillam battle it out.

"It is real exciting," explains Gillam.
"They're one of the teams that I have always looked forward to going to play for."
Gillam remembers going to watch his older brother Josh's team, Dartmouth University, face-off against Cornell. Gillam claims that the Big Red have the best fans in NCAA hockey.
"The fans are crazy and the atmosphere is unbelievable," he explains.
Gillam is most looking forward to standing in the home crease and listening to the fans scream at the visiting goalie.
"They like to rip the goalie and really get into their heads," Gillam recalls.
Mitch was also recruited by Notre Dame and UAF.

I wonder if he got tired of hearing he wasn't the answer?

I just don't see it. Iles seems committed to Cornell as an institution and as a team. I don't think he'd leave to go pro (especially before his junior year) when he's not even signed. It seems more to me that he's trying to convince himself that it's possible.
I wonder if he got tired of hearing he wasn't the answer?
I'm sure if he gets a good offer after his junior year, he will go pro. He is draft eligible (one more time) for this year (2012) I believe.
