Yale and Quinnipiac are both playing their 6th game in 10 days tonight. That has to be taking a toll on them physically.
Mid first period:
Yale scores early, Harvard ties it 7 mins in. 1-1.
Gate scores early. Colgate 1-0.
In other places, BU-UNH HE QF game 3 is tied in the closing minutes, and Providence upset Lowell in their game 3, 1-0.
supposedly the fox college sports network (central and pacific) will be showing wcha game 3 at 8 pm.
For all of you who along with me thought Bob Norton had bit the broadcasting dust ( or cr@#k ) he is on FSPAC blabbering about Merrimack vs. Maine.::help::

2-2 in SFs
Colgate now ahead 3-0
Merrimack 1 @ Maine 2 on Fox college sports Pacific (even though tv guide says wrestling, there is ice not mats :)). 9:30 left in the second.
The Yalies must be running out of gas.
Looks like Yale can't help themselves, much less us.

So much for the optimism I had early in the game. Have they put in the safety sieve yet?

Don't think so. The 5th was quite near the end of the period, so maybe they figured it wasn't worth it then. Maybe a new sieve for the 3rd?
I know for NCAA purposes we want(better yet need) Yale to win tonight. From a more personal standpoint, I would much rather see us play Harvard in AC. Im definitely finding my way there Friday playing Harvard (even if I take a sick day). Playing 'gate just doesnt seem to excite me the same way. Is it just me that feels this way?

Just about every Cornell fan would rather beat Harvard than beat Colgate, especially in the postseason. It's that much sweeter.
There have been 58 SOG already in the Yale-Harvard game. Every one of their games has been like that. We're going to need to slow Harvard down. We don't want to get caught up in a game like that with them on Friday.
I agree. Yale beating Harvard obviously helps us. But if we take care of OUR end of business, everything will fall into place. I think I am safe in saying that playing Harvard will bring out even MORE faithful to the cess pool known as Atlantic City.

That's why I'd rather Harvard win.

Safety sieve in.
6-1. Go start the yacht.
BU beat UNH in 2ot.
It sounds like there is at least some potential for fisticuffs in Alston. Here's hoping.

Absolutely rather beat Harvard than any other ECAC team. Okay, it's also nice to take down BU in hockey and fun to arrest Duke's progress in lax. Remember the non-excitement of the Cornell-Colgate not quite Red Hot Hockey game in Newark in 2010 or in the Florida Classic in 2008. We're playing someone who lives an hour away that we see already during the RS. It's like having your kid brother tagging along when you go to the mall.
(Harvard sports fans must be stewing over the ESPN basketball selection show an hour ago and the announcers blathering on about how Vanderbilt-Harvard is a matchup of two of the brighest colleges in America. O, the unfairness of lumping Harvard with anyone else.)
3rd string sieve. 7-2.
SAFETY safety goalie in?? Wow.

Harvard/Vandy is a third-rate wannbe of Cornell/Stanford. Cornell and Stanford are far better institutions, and the combination of the two would make such an alumnus a God among men.
Now 7-2 at Bright and 4-0 at Starr.
Top 4 seeds get through.
Gate 4-0

I agree with that. ;)

8-2 final from Cambridge. I hope Harvard used up their "goal allotment" for the rest of the season tonight.

And humble too. Don't forget that guys!
Wisconsin and Denver tied at 2 and headed to OT and I'm headed to bed. Go Badgers!
Denver wins in OT.
Tuned in just in time to hear the announcers come back from the commercial break by saying "Season's over for the Badgers..."

Do Stanford Continuing Studies classes count? It's not like just anybody could pay to take a class in lucid dreaming or how to be happy.:-D
I still can't believe that PC beat Lowell. Very annoying. I want all of the potential bid-stealers eliminated.

...never brought home a Whitelaw Cup to Union.
(I mean this as no disrespect for his coaching abilities, he is truly talented, but one upset in a playoff does not mean that Providence will win the Lamoriello Trophy and steal a bid).
