Yale up on Princeton 3-0 late in 1st period
No score for RPI-Clarkson
No fans at Q-Brom wscore 2-0 Q end of 1st per
Yale looking good tonight against Princeton, unless something unexpected happens, I think Bulldogs will win this one.
Quinnipiac is also playing well against Brown, I think Bobcats will take the win tonight.
RPI and Clarkson? Who knows.

It's a total crapshoot, just like the first two games. Very exciting and even series that's a pleasure to listen to if you don't give a hoot who wins.

One-timer by Tremblay from the point. Clarkson 1-0 halfway through the second.
I'd be nice if RPI, Yale, and Quinnipiac all win. That would set us up against Dartmouth, which is a match-up I like. Also, it would eliminate Clarkson, a team that has given us trouble this year, and pit Union and RPI against each other, ensuring that 1 of the 2 other teams we had had the most trouble with will not make it to Atlantic City.

Annnnd RPI ties it back up...

How does that ensure that Colgate doesn't make it to AC?
Yale and Q both now up by 3.
RPI could win a series from Union (or from us) and they're spoiling to do so. RPI has fallen off the hockey map in the Capoital District- if it wasn't for the pathetic Troy Record they'd be invisible in the local papers since Union's ascendance. They resent that bigtime. I'd tend to think we would do OK against RPI- there's only been one season in the last 12 that we haven't beat them at least once.
After 2 periods:
Q 3 B 0
RPI 1 CLK 1
Prin 2 Yale 5
RPI and Clarkson are 1-1 after 2 periods. Maybe they're going to play triple OT again tonight!
RPI scores on a 5-minute major. ~15 minutes left in the 3rd.
And RPI scores again! 3-1 Engineers. Looks like we'll get our wish to play Dartmouth.

Meanwhile Brown sneaks in 2 quickies and only trails 3-2.

4-1 RPI
4-2 Quinnipiac
6-3 Yale
Can't wait to see Mello again.
2 finals in: Quinnipiac and RPI advance. Yale leads 5-3 with 4:45 to go.
I like a pairing where our QF opponent comes off a bruising three-game series. That Brown gave Union fits in the RS is great for conversation (had they advanced) but they didn't get to be a 12-seed based on a couple games; it tooks a season of effort to finish there.
Favorite quote from Yale game: "Everyone including me and near capacity crowd at Ingalls thought that was a goal...well not really near capacity" Not only does this quote capture how often he screams "GOAL" even if Yale hasn't scored, but also captures their fan support that is just not there.

Yale up 6-3. Guess its time to get ready for Dartmouth.

And time for me to pay for my RIP @ Onion tix.::dribble::
They had a much better ccrowd than Q did- that rink looked empty. I'll bet they didn't get 800 people.

Q will probably list the game as a sellout. I've been to 2 sellouts at Q this year with many of the fans disguised as empty seats.
We lucked out sooooo much this weekend:
Union has to face a very hostile RPI, who could easily pull an upset in a home road trip.
Yale and Harvard will have a competitive series, with that rivalry heating up in Cambridge.
Colgate has to face a very disciplined Quinnipiac, who barely missed the bye cutoff last week.
And what about us? We have to face Dartmouth, who hasn't been on a road trip since Feb. 18th and lost to us twice earlier this year.
Thank the hockey gods.
Edit: Dartmouth traveled for SLU, but still, I'd rather face them than any of the other teams.

And Northern Michigan, one spot ahead of us in PWR, is losing 4-1 in the 3rd period.

I'll thank the hockey gods even more if Qpac can find a way to sweep Colgate and knock them off the TUC cliff.

Woofing Gods, forgive them, for they know not what they do.

My mistake. I've blocked that weekend from my memory. RPI v Union ensures that at least 1 of the 3 remaining teams that gave us trouble both times we faced them will not make it to Atlantic City.

RPI band gets kudos in Times Union (http://www.timesunion.com/default/article/RPI-player-makes-band-stand-3390188.php)
Note that the RPI team is, according to this article, allowed to tweet. I wonder how many teams are on electronic lock down during the season.

Cornell lax players tweet.
Cornell hockey players tweet as well. In fact, I think most of the ECAC teams tweet. The ECAC blog "1989 and Still Waiting" has a weekly segment on ECAC Hockey Tweets of the Week. ECAC Tweets of the Week (http://ecachockeyblog.blogspot.com/)
Of course RPI tweets. They Chirp a lot too...::whistle::

Nice. Give an assist to TimV for lofting a fat pitch over the heart of the plate.
