Title: ECAC Tournament Internet Viewing
Post by: Jim Hyla on March 01, 2012, 04:55:32 PM
As posted on the Women's Thread, CornellBigRed.com (http://www.cornellbigred.com/news/2012/3/1/WICE_0301120317.aspx) announces the entire women's tournament this weekend is on Redcast. That includes all 3 games.

The men's games will be on America One (b2live). (http://www.b2livetv.com/upcoming_events.asp?q=s&value=26)

The men's games are $9/game. Adjust your budgets accordingly.

For the men, is this only the AC games (if we get there) or all of the games?

Follow the link he posted - it actually looks like all of the games, including this weekend's first round.

All the ECAC tourney games, starting tomorrow night with the 1st round games, next weekend's QFs and the Semis/final. IIRC, for the semis/finals there is a 3-game package you can buy, but all the other games are PPV.

I think we still get Cornell/Redcast audio, but all video rights for the tournament games are the ECAC/America One. Yeah, it just sucks. But this is the way it has been for years (5?) now.

That's far too much work for me.

Thanks, Rita.

This is an assertion not yet in evidence. We'll only know in retrospect whether this is actually true or not, and given RedCast's track record...

I asked @CornellWHockey on Twitter and they said that the games will be on RedCast. You don't have to, but I trust them.

We should start an over/under for the number of minutes broadcast.

Set it at slightly over half?

OK, time to worry? The women's games are not showing on Redcast schedule. Hopefully just because it was an add-on.

And there will surely be a 5-minute span where the camera doesn't move

Games are listed in RedCast now. They must have added it in the last two hours.

Women's SF vs Quinnipiac at 3:15 today, in case anybody was not aware.

Can we count on B2 or B12 or whatever vitamin it is to hire the same crack camera crew as Redcast?
