Title: Recruit Defection?
Post by: scoop85 on December 15, 2011, 04:32:01 PM
Heisenberg no longer shows Steve Miller as a Cornell recruit -- he is now listed as uncommitted.

So they know how fast he is leaving but not where he is going?

I assumed he hasn't made that decision yet (or at least made it public).

I think there is an uncertainty principle at work.

But if you put him in the penalty box, is he dead or alive?

If you put him in the penalty box next to Schafer after backing out on his commitment, dead.

But if you put him in the penalty box next to Schafer, he's playing for Cornell.:-P

Yeah I know there are some weird rinks, like Colgate, where the boxes are closer to the visiting team. So don't dump on my line.::dribble::

Strange.  Just two days ago, the EJHL named Steve Miller player of the week.  The press release states that Miller is committed to Cornell for the 2013-14 season (http://easternjunior.pointstreaksites.com/view/easternjunior/news-archive/news_38985).  Has anybody seen or heard anything about a decommitment, aside from Chris Heisenberg's list?

BR Puckhead still has him on our list, FWIW.

Highly recommended link including the other stories on the landing page. Nice video of nine-year-olds brawlng. And did Mike Milbury really assault a 12-year-old who plays in the youth league where Milbury coaches?

Apparently so. The kid was fighting with Milbury's son. The story I read said that the younger Milbury AND the kid he was fighting with were both jerks but Milbury Jr. was the instigator.

I heard that there were no officials on the ice and he and the other coach were basically breaking up the fight.  This came from a Boston-based reporter on the NHL radio network who spoke with Millbury for 2 hours over the weekend.

So you're probably all correct.

If you are breaking up a fight that includes your kid and the kid that you grab to drag away ISN'T your own, you're doing it wrong.

"doing it wrong" is Mike Milbury's middle name.

If you give your kid "doing it wrong" as a middle name...
