Cornell release: >>> Against the top three pass defenses in the Ivy League (Dartmouth, Penn and Brown), Mathews completed 70 percent of his passes and averaged 405.7 yards with eight touchdowns and four interceptions. His 341.2 yards per game was more than 100 yards per game higher than any other passer in the Ivy League.

Of course he had more yards per game. A quarterback who has no one to hand the ball to is going to have to rack up the yards. It's maintaining a high completion rate over so many reps that I consider impressive.
Imhoff not on the at last the 2nd team is an oversight in my view. Also, because Mathews wasn't a unanimous selection on the 1st team will probably hurt his chances for Player of the Year.

Imhoff second in sacks and first in tackles for loss it's just amazing he wasn't at least on the 2nd team, don't know what more he could do. Mathews certainly deserves at least sharing the POY award. Normally they don't award that to sophmores, but his statistics are hard to deny.
