we're obviously still getting third place votes.
CC has 32 1st place votes (32*15 = 480). 592-480 = 112. 8 votes for second place (8*14) is 112 exactly. so we know their breakdown: 32 first place votes, 8 second place votes
CU has 8*15= 120. 558-120 = 438. since 438 does not divide evenly by 14, we must be getting third place votes.
if we are getting no 4th place votes, then we should have:
8 first place votes, 22 second place votes, 10 third place votes
i'm kinda surprised we didn't move up more points, but we are much closer to 1 than 3.

How do you know we're not getting 4th place or lower votes?
A transfer of two first place votes from Cornell to CC. I guess that CC win over the US Under 18 team was more impressive than I thought. ::rolleyes::
So, Cornell wins two games, gives up a total of 1 goal. Colorado College beats the US Under 18 team in an exhibition game and two voters switch their #1 vote from Cornell to Colorado College. I don't get that one.
Not a lot of respect for going down to the wire against Union, I guess.
And the under 18's just might beat RPI. (Probably not. Against D1 schools they went 3-12-2. They tied Yale and LSSU, and beat Fairfield (x2) and Vermont.
