Best of luck to him for a quick and full recovery.  Every insider I've known over the years has said Joe is one of the most gentlemanly men, despite that horrendous accent.

SLU gave up seven goals over an 18 minute span tonight at Michigan.  Eek.

Edit: final 10-3.  Say hello to a .706 svpct.

"468-399-72 in 26 seasons, the most career victories of any active ECAC coach and the third coach in NCAA Division I history with more than 400 wins at one institution. He is the seventh coach since 1951 to win multiple Spencer Penrose Awards as the NCAA Division I Hockey Coach of the Year (1989 and 2000) and was ECAC Coach of the Year a record four times."

And nobody more universally respected in the league. Best retirement wishes, Coach Marsh.

Definitely - a class act.  Best wishes for retirement and recovery.

Does it make me a bad person if my 2nd thought (after, "best wishes to Coach Marsh" ) was "okay - only 7 more 20-win seasons for Schafer to overtake his wins record."

Yes it does.  You'd be a good person if your second thought was "okay - only 5 more 30-win seasons for Schafer to overtake his wins record."
