Evan Barlow has signed with the Elmira Jackals of the ECHL..
It will be nice to watch him play there.

Islanders' Matt Moulson only had bare minimum insurance on pricey car in crash: suit

For a guy who just scored a $9.4 million deal with the New York Islanders, iceman Matt Moulson's not very slick with his finances

Via ECAC article on Scrivens from Toronto Sun. (http://www.torontosun.com/2011/09/19/can-scrivens-follow-reimers-lead)
Joe Devin has signed with the San Antonio Rampage, the AHL affiliate of the Florida Panthers.

Scrivens looks good tonight for Leafs in preseason game vs. Flyers. Very "big" in net.
Wish I'd gotten to see it. Overly-short clips on the Leafs website: http://mapleleafs.nhl.com/club/gamevideo.htm?id=2011010023
Everybody else thinks Scrivens doing very well as well. Via ECAC, article on him in Toronto Sun. (http://www.torontosun.com/2011/09/22/scrivens-gives-leafs-plenty-to-think-about) Everything that has been said about him in the pros goes along with him having a great head on his shoulders. But then we knew that.
Any alumni on the Rangers? The Senators? No? Well, I can't think of another place to ask this and I don't want to start a new thread. I figure this is where the NHL fans hang out anyway.
Which end of the rink do the Rangers defend? Either N/E/W/S or the adjacent section number would be great. Thanks.

Colin Greening is a Senator. Rangers defend the 7th Ave. (east side) twice I'm pretty sure, but hopefully someone who has been there for a Ranger game more recently than I have can verify that.

And via ECAC, the same as reported in the Ottawa Citizen. (http://www.ottawacitizen.com/sports/hockey/ottawa-senators/Greening+returns+Newfoundland/5456675/story.html)
Via ECAC, another article on Greening from The Telegram. (http://www.thetelegram.com/Sports/2011-09-27/article-2760898/Greening-credits-a-lot-of-hard-work-for-his-successes/1) It contains the mandatory NCAA scholarship line.
Just a few NHL alum updates:
-Colin Greening, Ben Scrivens, Justin Krueger, and Riley Nash remain on their respective teams' (Ottawa, Toronto, and Carolina) training camp rosters
-Raymond Sawada has been placed on waivers by the Dallas Stars and will likely end up back on the Texas Stars in the AHL
-Brendon Nash suffered a shoulder injury that required surgery while in the Canadiens' training camp and is out indefinitely
-Ryan O'Byrne, Douglas Murray, and Matt Moulson remain permanent NHL players for Colorado, San Jose, and the Islanders, respectively
-Byron Bitz continues to deal with a hernia and is on injured reserve for Vancouver
-David Leneveu and Joe Devin will play in the AHL (for Oklahoma City and San Antonio)
Colin Greening ought to go in the group w/ O'Byrne, Murray and Moulson. His contract is a three year, one way contract. His spot in the NHL is pretty well sewn up this year (or at least he makes NHL money no matter what).
Mike Garman has signed with the ECHL's Colorado Eagles.

Sounds like he made the team!
"Although the league allows a roster of up to 23 players, Carolina will not carry more than 22. The final cuts will be from the blue line."
Another Cornellian in the NHL - great news!

Wasn't he in net for the 1970 NCAA champion Cornell squad?

Should get its own thread ::cheer::

I can't even be as tall as Dryden. He's so good at everything. Sort of Cornell's Cam Newton on skates.
