With 3 Cornellian's playing in Sweden*, we may need to start a Swedish language club, or make this (http://translation.babylon.com/swedish/to-english/) a permanent link.

* If you do translate the above link, it does mention the Abbotts and something about Norway. hmmmm.

Darn. I was looking forward to learning about Office Hockey. I could have been a star in my workplace.

This was already retweeted by @elynah, but Greening got a 3-year one way deal.  For those of you that aren't familiar with NHL contracts, this means he gets paid the same in the NHL or AHL, meaning he will be in the NHL.

Fishsticks captain Doug Weight retires.  Any chance Moulson gets to wear the C?

Minimal. Kyle Okposo is the likely captain for the Islanders' next dynasty.

The likely captain for the Islanders' next dynasty hasn't even been born yet. :-P

Are you adapting that Hollywood-director line: "The best about this business is my next wife hasn't been born yet"?

1994 is a long time ago now.  Though 2003 is starting to get that way too.

I was going to say "I think you mean 1984," and then I realized what you did there, and didn't want to lower myself by getting involved in the endless and pointless squawking and squabbling between the teams of the NY Metro area about who's more irrelevant. :-}

And us Sox fans will always have Bill Buckner and that mailed-a-day-too-late Carlton Fisk contract renewal.

What does this have to do with anything? Seriously, what is this apropos of? Sometimes you sound like Google in a Bing commercial.

Can't we all just get along in the shared certainty that Harvard sucks?

Exactly. I dislike when NHL loyalties, such as they are, rear their head and start dominating eLF threads.

Then again, it is the offseason. Trebuchet-talk (http://elf.elynah.com/read.php?1,24438,24438), anyone?

And it is the Alumni in the Pros thread. If NHL loyalties are going to come out I'd rather this be where it happens.
