Title: A wee bit cold in Grand Forks?
Post by: scoop85 on February 02, 2011, 03:18:18 PM
I sure hope the kid's ok, but this USCHO article (http://www.uscho.com/2011/02/01/north-dakotas-kristo-sidelined-indefinitely-by-frostbite-on-toes/) is certainly not something that will be featured in North Dakota's recruiting pitch.

I like the comments; indeed I can agree with some of them.

Indeed, most posters figure the path to frostbite goes through alcohol. Such as Chris M: "yeah frost bite from "walking around campus" ...wonder how smashed he was!" Tough crowd. No respect.

Well, it is hard to believe that a student was just walking around campus and got frostbite. Thousands of others did the same without problems. Now there might be a logical explanation, but without one people on a website are going to speculate, and alcohol is a reasonable reason.

I know someone who got frostbite walking around Collegetown. She wasn't wearing shoes. She didn't notice at the time. She did when the alcohol wore off.
