In general he is okay but I don't know about playing hockey.

I just posted this link to Brandon Thomas's blog about it (http://www.theithacajournal.com/apps/pbcs.dll/section?category=PluckPersona&U=aad1c03d16654a05a2e2047b24fc640d&plckController=PersonaBlog&plckScript=personaScript&plckElementId=personaDest&plckPersonaPage=BlogViewPost&plckPostId=Blog%3aaad1c03d16654a05a2e2047b24fc640dPost%3ae437c96a-b33b-441a-a38f-be99314fab56&sid=sitelife.theithacajournal.com) on the weekend thread. He discusses it a little more. Assuming it's just loss of control of his meds, he should play again. Driving is another thing.

Boy, you guys are up early.

Jim - should just be a med adjustment, no?  When I saw the headlines with the word "seizure" it scared me that this was a new symptom - didn't know he had that disorder.

Actually, my dog got me up. He "had" to go out. That's also why I started my post on the other thread, came back after letting him back in to finish it, and then noticed this thread had beaten me to it.::twak::

Answered like an attorney or a very circumspect MD.

BTW, I thought that Brandon Thomas did a great job with his IJ article and BLOG entry on Dan.  He showed tremendous respect for Dan, the players, coaches, and the situation.  A lot of reporters (young and old) could learn a thing or two from him.

Hear hear. I wish the best for Dan, one of my favorite players, and hope he will return soon.

Good article.  I'm glad he's able to be so upbeat about it, because I can easily see something like this being a trigger for depression.
