Title: Cornell 3 Clarkson 0 (w)
Post by: Towerroad on December 04, 2010, 05:02:39 PM
Clarkson played tougher than expected in the first and 3rd. Big second period with 3 goals including a very nice PP goal. Crowd is definitely growing.

Clarkson's hard forechecking gave us some fits in the first period, but we adjusted well thereafter.  Refereeing was a bit too lax for the Lynah Faithful's tastes this afernoon.  Our powerplay has improved since last week; they are getting more puck movement, foot movement, and low presence.  Our 2nd and 3rd period defense was very solid, allowing very few real chances and not making some of the transition mistakes they made against SLU yesterday.  All in all this was a quality win for the Red.  Jessica Campbell was a scratch--not sure of her status.

Clarkson had a very good team last year, and even though they've fallen off this season I still thought this might be a trap game for the women. Sounds like it was a good win for Cornell, and it's great to hear they're drawing more fans.
