Title: Cornell - Seton Hall basketball
Post by: CAS on November 02, 2010, 01:38:00 PM
Just a reminder that the Red play the Hall Sunday, Nov. 14 at noon at the Pru Center.
This should be a big early season test for the Red.
I'm [+2] looking forward to being there.  Hope there will be a lot of Red in the building.

It's cheaper than the Colgate game, so it's got that going for it, which is nice.  Still...  meh.

Let's hope Wroblewski is back for that game, he sprained his ankle last week and is questionable for the Albany game

The Seton Hall game looks like it will be broadcasted for free on espn3.com

edit: the only problem is this may be blacked out in Ithaca because it will be on SNY

As much as we complain about Redcast, Albany is not providing any video for the game tomorrow, audio will be on wvbr.com

Looks like Albany actually is streaming the game, Wrobo is still a gametime decision

37-35 Albany at the half, not bad considering how bad we looked offensively at times, really need Wrobo to be out there

Cornell with the 65-61 win.

Meanwhile, in New Jersey, Princeton knocks off Rutgers 78-73 in OT. It is too early in the season for me to have any idea if this is an upset yet.

Nice win considering no Wrobo, definitely some problems though Peck was invisible couldnt make a shot, too many fouls, nothing. Wire was a beast close to (didnt see box score yet) a double double rebounds assists, Groebe great from the 3. Big surprises though with Osgood nice touch around the basket, Grey making 3-4 3's.

Peck is going to need to step it up though. Seton Hall game should be interesting, they lost @Temple tonight, definitely need Wrobo back

I dont think that Princeton game was an upset, it was @Princeton against Rutgers with a new coach

Now that it is basketball season where has YankeeLobo been? Is he still hiding after his Lobo's crappy NCAA performance against Washington?

game is only blacked out for those in NY/NJ near NYC

22-8 Seton Hall after eight minutes.  Offense is lost without Wroblewski.  Struggline to get to the front court.  Can't hit a trey.  Like hockey, another work in process.  Better hope wrestling stays healthy or it could be a long winter sports season.

50-35 Seton Hall at the half.  Team is settling down some.  Osgood has 17, mostly from inside, and looks to be a good one.  Too many fouls trying to be aggressive on defense.  Peck missed much of the first half with two personals.  Team missed the first nine trey attempts to dig a deep hole.

Osgood played really well but I bet he will be shooting foul shots all week after going 8-16, Gatlin showed something at the end of the game with a good move around the basket and a mid range shot, the game could have been much more competitive had we hit our 3's, 5-24 overall and Grobe/Ferry combine for 0-8, Groebe shot well in the first game but Ferry was 4-15, he probably should shoot less

The other glaring difficulty is that Peck continues to struggle with early fouls, when he was in, the offense was much more dynamic but he continues to get in foul trouble early as he did last year

Wrobo still might not be back for Wed, hopefully he fully recovers and this ankle injury does not impact him throughout the year
I still think we dont know much about this team, these guys still came out nervous the first 10min, as they keep playing in these big arenas, Seton Hall, Minn, Cuse they should get more confidence and put it together by the time Ivy league play comes around
