Title: Incoming Lax Recruits
Post by: scoop85 on August 21, 2010, 09:25:11 AM
Here's (http://cornellbigred.com/news/2010/8/19/MLAX_0819101239.aspx) the list.  No surprises from what has been previously reported.  Seems to be a well-balanced group that adds quality and depth at all positions.

Looks very impressive to me.   Inside Lacrosse thinks this is only the fourth best class in the Ivies (behind Princeton, Harvard, and Penn) and 12th best in the country.::wtf::

Good. Bring 'em on.::uptosomething::

Penn has been THE up-and-coming Ivy team for about 15 years now, Harvard had a top 5 class a year ago that enabled them to finish third from last in the league last year, and Princeton hasn't kept us out of a league championship in eight years with all those blue chips they get. ::wank::

Ithaca Journal story on the recruits here: http://www.theithacajournal.com/article/20100822/SPORTS03/8220336/1128/sports/DeLuca+delighted+with+Cornell+lacrosse+recruits

Story includes this schedule change:

DeLuca announced one amendment to the Big Red's 2011 schedule: the third game of a four-game regular season series with Virginia will be played in Baltimore as part of one of Inside Lacrosse Magazine's annual tripleheader game days. Days and times have yet to be announced.

Incoming frosh Cody Bremner named one of ten finalists for Canada's National Junior Player of the Year (but not the winner) and second-team All-Canadian:

Some pretty good names on past All-Canadian second teams.  Curtis Dickson and Kevin Crowley were Tewaaraton finalists this year.
