2-1 Cornell on two Hurley goals; another ball-drop by Lang gives Army an easy goal.

Gotta get Pannell more involved on offense.

Gotta hang onto the ball.  Derkac throwaway gave Army its second goal.

And Pannell gets 2 goals to put us up 4-2

Army ties it at 5.  No second slide.  Too many giveaways and shaky D.

Tied again at 6.  Cornell continues to throw it away after winning a faceoff or attempting a clear.

Pretty much every time we double the ball on defense they score. 7-6 army right now.

Army 7-6, taking advantage of another Cornell slide.

May see Martinez for Fiore.  We are giving a really sloppy effort.  Poor ball handling. Pushes to give possession.  Poor clearing.

Lau has been invisible.

Gillum beginning to play with some confidence.

Ritchie makes it 10-8 Cornell.  Middies dodging with more confidence than in first two games.
Lang alley dodge makes it 11-8.

11-9

Army now 3 for 3 on EMO makes it 11-10 after Lau takes a terrible shot giving ball to Army

Cornell had built up a 3 goal lead, but army pulls back to within 1 with 5:20 left in the game. Army 3 for 3 on man-up situations.

Another throwaway in the offensive end leads to the tying Army goal 11-11

Another face-off won but ball turned over

This team is very much a work in progress.  While I wouldn't put anything past Tambroni, hard to picture us being a factor on the national scene.

Sun glare didn't help, but I didn't have a good feeling about the clear attempt from the get-go.

1:40 left, Army ball

What's with all the cross-field clearing passes?  It looks like we're very unsure in our clearing game.  Almost afraid to push the ball upfield.

two great chances in OT, but no dice.  Army now controls and calls the TO

Cornell had ball but couldn't score; Army TO with ball in Cornell's zone.

Well, the lax team can score on a breakaway anyway.

Hurley in transition wins it.  Really feel bad for Army after a great effort.

Boy, Army has lost a zillion 1-goal games the past few years.  I'm happy we won, but as a Hudson Valley resident, I wish it were against someone else

Won the faceoff battle 20-8.  Boykin's been doing a helluva job.

Even when we gained first possession, Army was very aggressive in chasing the guy who scooped up the ball and getting the ball from Cornell.

Yeah, it was a rough-and-tumble affair.  We certainly held our own against their physicality.
